No they don't. Indeed they build really good vehicles.
Volvo, like so many other foreign manufacturers, are
simply responding to market conditions that allow them to
buy our businesses, build and sell their products in our country,
and to profit from doing so. And then take our money away.
If we simply continue to do the "same old, same old", we will
continue to get the exact same results.

Finally got all my parts for the B-67 loaded on a trailer yesterday.
Other than two spare engines and transmissions, the entire 53' high flat is
completely covered with one B-67. And that's with no wheels or tires!
(As soon as I got it loaded - it started to pour! It didn't look good for all of
my bare metal pieces. But it only rained for a short time, then hot & dry again,
so no real dama
Well it all started last week, saturday as a mater of fact. Waited for otherdog to tell me when he got his package I sent to him, "It was gonna be a surprise, but got ruined" I had to break the news to him sunday. Anyway, I believe it arrived wednesday, a WEEK after it was sent. Usually takes 3 days for me and him to send stuff to each other. Talked to Jobyna to check to see if it was delivered. So,as I was sayin' I went to Greensboro yesterday morning and came back and went to Dillwyn and picked up a load of kyanite going to Chester,W.V. I should have delivered it today,but Todd told me to go to the doctor and deliver it Monday. So I did,except for the going to the doctor part.I've had a sore throat on one side all week-hurts all the way from my ear to my neck on the left side. Had another interesting week,and it's not even over yet. I went to Macon,Ga. with a load of pipes Sunday. Blew a trailer tire on the way down and had to wait 3 hours for a tire. I wasn't pulling my regular trailer,the new aluminum Fontaine.They were supposed to switch the load at the shop,but for some reason they never did so I had to pull the raggedy 53 footer it was loaded on.( I know-whine,whine,whine!) When I got to the jobsite Monday morning I ran by the road I was supposed to turn on.There
It seems hard to believe that one little single axle B-67 is going to fill
a 50' drop deck trailer.
This will require pictures for anybody to believe.
I tell people all the time that I have the biggest truck in the place because
it goes from one end of the building to the other. Now I can prove it!

Went to Altavista just now,and out here where 699 runs into 29 some people were having a yard sale in the restaurant parking lot straight across 29. what a day-went to the eye doctor this morning...she said everything was looking about the same,which is good. "Ramblin' Man" unloaded the load I brought in last night,which is good. The decision was made, and Jimmy and I are in the process of moving into our new space.
In the end we took the adjacent rental space to our current shop for a couple of reasons.
Not the least of which is that our crane will fit. And we are out of sight of anybody passing by.
And we continue to have use of the onsite sandblasting and painting facilities.
We measured the space yesterday; we have 58' x 70' x 24' high. Two overhead doors at one end.
(one each 12' high and 14' high x 12' wide).
Wow,Bernie Mac passed away-he was 2 years younger than me! Don't get to watch much TV,but I saw the Bernie Mac show a few times,and it was great! I took a van load-actually part of a load, only had 5,600 lbs. and the trailer was about a third of the way filled-to an Amish stove shop just out of Ashland, Ohio. The address said it was on rt.545 so, I could either go through Ashland on rt. 96 and go north on 545 or, stay on 250 up past Bailey Lake and come back south on 545. Some time ago I think I posted that I was getting some body hammers and dollies to work out some of the dents in my B-67 cab.
Well after reading everything I could find on the subject, I started in on beating the s---- out of the poor old cab. Wrong.
I have found this metal bumping, as the industry calls it, to be a tremendous therapeutic treatment for stress and anxiety.

After a few months af indecision, we got word today that we will indeed
have to relocate our truck shop. And real soon. The expanding neighbor wants our
space by September 01.
We have decided to take one of two spaces offered to us by our current landlord.
One is almost ideal, except pretty expensive. It's got a 24' ceiling, two large
overhead doors, fully insulated and really well lit with four floor drains, water
and 3 phase power. The space is about 48' x 72'. Its all painted up nice

I've been to Conneaut,Ohio and back to Richmond from Follansbee,W.V. with a van load,now i've got another van load going to Ashland,Oh-home of the late Tim Richmond-with a return load to pick up in Vinton,Oh. What's left of the garden looks pretty good,lots of squash and onions,more tomatoes than we can eat,egg plant,and the hot peppers are loaded! I've been freezing them whole,and when they're all harvested i'm gonna put them in the blender,liquify 'em with some vinegar and salt,boil it for a while,then pour it into bottles-home made hot sauce! I've got ecoli-free jalapenos,tabascos,hot cherry,New Mexico Big Jims,and a Habenero.Thought I had some cayennes,but they turned out to be more jalapenos. Ha

I've been out to the Oshkosh, Wisconsin EAA air show this week.
Although I try to go each year - it never ceases to amaze me. What
a fantastic event. Anything and everything that has to do with aviation
at all is represented there. There are fighters, antiques, big jets, small jets,
homebuilt airplanes, custom airplanes, fast ones, slow ones and helicopters.
Plus all of the parts, supplies and electronics manufacturers.
