Another Busy Week

I left here last Sunday, put my new radio in before I left ( the old Cobra wasn't acting right, but i've had it for 5 years ),and went to Brook Park,Oh. Reloaded at Brookfield and went to Roanoke, then to Dillwyn and on to Fremont,Oh.Then to Brookfield and Roanoke. Then to Moneta and Clarion,Pa. and Brookfield and Roanoke. Got to Roanoke about 6:30 last night and got unloaded at 11:30  So,instead of being home I slept in the truck up at the truckstop just south of Lynchburg. Called Jo at 5:30 this morning to come get me. She didn't cuss me or anything (well,at least not on the phone!),she came right on. I've put well over 200,000 miles on the truck now,and Jeff will have had it 2 years sometime in August. Think i'll run over to Wal-Mart now and get some fertilzer for the garden, they're calling for more rain today and tomorrow.Grass needs mowing again too. Maybe I should teach Jo how to push a lawnmower, but maybe I shouldn't push my luck.

I have no new pictures now,so here's a recycled picture of a '66 Chevelle.

Instead of sleeping in the truck all of the time, have you thought of leaving the lawn mower running and just parking it under your bed at home. Or you might just have Jo shake the bed and say buddin buddin buddin buddin till you get your nap out.

I just got in from mowing my grass. I worked on it for about 4 hours. That's pretty funny James.

4 hours?!! how much yard have you got, about 18 acres? You should get a goat or twelve to help you out.

I got about a hair under 2 acres. This is the first time it's been mowed all year. I used my uncles mower with the 25 horse motor and 54 inch cut, and it was touching the headlights in the back yard. I'm really thinking about gettin a goat or 2 to help clear off the rest of the property.

oh...no wonder. Perhaps you should have cut it a few weeks ago. I just got a push mower, but the yard's not very big.It does have a 550 cat on it though. Or a 5.5 Briggs and Stratton,I don't remember because i'm always getting the two confused.

I've been looking for a picture of my goat,I know I have at least one,but I can't find it. His name was Dale and I had him for several years. He was a good pet, gentle as a dog. He liked to butt you sometimes, but only in a playful manner.Loved beer and cigarettes though. He'd eat cigarettes as fast as you'd hand them to him,and I poured him a beer in a bowl and he sucked it up in about 3 seconds so I poured him another one, same thing,so I poured him another one, same thing,so I figured three was enough for him and I might want one myself later. Every time he'd get loose he'd run to the front of the house and eat the flowers that were planted there. I kept him on a long tie out chain hooked to his collar with a loop on the end that I just dropped over a stake, that way he could go around in a circle without getting tangled up.When he ate everything in that spot i'd just move the stake to a different spot.
