I was always curious with tippers in Australia why is the lever for the tailgate always by the back of the truck? That means you have to get out and walk all the way to the back before you dump. We have the lever usually by the drivers door unless it's an air gate.

Well that's true for this truck, if I ever want to dump my load so to speak I have to get out and walk. Newer ones have an air operated tailgate. But you make a good point Rob, I guess no ne here has ever thought to make the lever at the front of the body so e where. Does that set up give you any trouble?

Well there is more linkage involved but I think it outweighs having to walk back to the truck if you're in a foot of shit which with would be more times than not. I mean less linkage with your setup but just more crap to do to get out of the truck.

Cheers, Rob
