My Dad James Allbritton and Poppin John
This is my Dad. He wasn't in my life for many years after my parents divorced. He is my greatest hero because He was the first adult to ever apologise to me for something he did that hurt my feelings. That is an awsome feeling,I hope that he understood how much that meant to me. He also taught me the values of honesty and hard honest work. He taught me loyalty and how to be polite. He taught me no matter what, a man is only as good as his word and that a hand shake was your bond.
From about the age of 15 I lived with my Dad and in just a few years He turned a wayward slacker into a responsible young man. He never had to woop me he only had to look at me or say my name with that gravely voice. He was respected by everyone who knew him especially by the people he worked for. If he was doing a job his employers just stepped back out of the way and let him do it his way with zero supervision. He always finished when it was RIGHT and not before.
