Went into the inner city of KC and bought a peice of rubber matting, it is a pebble texture 4ft x 6ft, it ran $48 even. Yesterday while I was trying to track down the mat I found a place that sold the foam underlayment and bought a 6ft x 8ft left over for $25. So for just under $75 I have a new floor mat just like the orginal except no Mack embossing. New Floor Mat and seats back in, the dust foot prints are from my boys helping

For all you picture and video fans, just have to put the doors and fenders on and find some new rear tires. I did not know my wife was video taping it or I would not have drove on the grass, My oldest son wanted to go for a ride before I put her back in the shop, she was outside becuase I painted the doors yesterday morning. My youngest son was mad because he wanted to go so he got to drain the tanks off blowing the horn.

or if you just want to make it look nice and presentable you can clean the rust off, seal and use bed liner material then the pits wont be seen and it looks nice to. -
Thanks, did you see all the bungy straps hooked to everything on this old girl. The headliner is the fiberglass panel, so when I removed it I had to be careful of it as it was brittle on the edges, I used some headliner material I had gotten for my B that I had it sitting around because I could not figure out a pattern that looked right and stayed up in the B so I am still pondering what I am going to do with that. Anyway, so I was cleaned it up and used new material to cover it and the theme colors is the brown and black. My mom-in-law help with making the boot for around the roof vent,I might put a couple more screws in it not sure yet. The dash panels need to be redone, at one time the gage panels were redone with some brown vinyl so I took that all a part and redid with black the same material used for the boot. The back of the cab panel was tattered and parts missing with some big square holes from speakers, I started working on that this afternoon after giving it some thought and came up with a pattern and cut it out. I kept the pattern if some one is looking to do the same thing. I was messing with the B this morning, repainted the doors, hopefully in a couple days get the doors back on her.

Been doing some interior work re-did the headliner cleaned up the floor and dash took it all apart and scrubbed it out, painted the inside back of the cab and redid the lower portion, I made a pattern so if any one is interested. Pictures on the way>>>> I am waiting on a fuel transfer pump and tachometer drive to come in. The original one on the truck has a fuel transfer pump/tach drive, they must have worked good because it is no longer available. (meaning never broke) mine is leaking out the top of the tach drive allowing the fuel to drain back to the tank.

Does any one have experance with the EM6 285 Fuel pump/tach drive, mine is leaking out the top seal and allowing fuel to drain back to the tanks. Called Mack and they said it was an obsolete part. I thought that was funny as I see alot of these trucks till on the road. Anyone have one rebuilt or is there another fix altogether. I will get some pics and post

get all the hood badges and trim broken or not, my neighbor has been fixing potmetal badges for awhile, he fixed a diesel badge for me, now I just need another one for the other side and the 2 long and 1 short trim -
That truck has been restored at least once, DOT numbers did not come out until the mid 90's, before that they were ICC numbers so the DOT number and phone number dont jive on the door. Milage is probably since last restoration. The letters also look like they are not painted on

That looks awesome, when the truck cant get restored why not, you are still saving it! -
sounds like out of balance steer tires, thats where I would start look for mud or dirt packed in the front hubs/spokes how bad can you feel it in the steering wheel? you probably have the bounce unloaded but dont notice it

J mine is a little different set up than that one, my clutch cable goes through the upper fire wall down to clutch release lever This is what mine looks like, I think there is enough to see what part I am missing I scanned a bunch of online auction site pictures and came up with the peice for the throttle control and made one, the spring hooked to a little bracket on the compressor, when I started looking I found it, the hole that hold the spring was broken so I took it off and made one.

The green one looks like it was a former C.S. Ehinger truck They also had 3 old B815 dumps for sale I looked at least 2 years ago, I saw one of there red tractors for sale on CL in Iowa about a month ago.
