  1. Went to Walcott to the largest Truck Stop In the World and visited the Museum. Very nice setup and awesome exhibits. I am going to start a separate thread about the adventurous trip. Enjoy ]
  2. I changed everything back to solid mount as from the factory. The air ride homemade setup had the hood hitting the cowl and it was cracked from beating. The hoods are different for the air ride vs solid mount trucks so are the radiator mounts and cross pieces. When I bought the sleeper I bought the hood which was perfect and it too is set up for a solid mount cab. I looked at trying to change it over but there is a lot of differences in the hood and how it rides on the cowl I could not find all the pieces and some of the ones I found were expensive.
  3. Did you get the truck home yet?
  4. no every-time I am out working on it don't have the phone handy. I made all the uprights and have them mounted need to raise the sleeper back up and set it back on to check the cross pieces, I will take some then.
  5. looks like a full weekend, better get some rest Walcott is this upcoming weekend.
  6. All thanks for sharing great pictures
  7. here is the web site register and you can get access to the online catalogs and cross reference your own parts. http://www.paiindustries.com/parts/partsearch.php BTW the hood latch box had the genuine Mack logo and the latch was stamped made in china
  8. PAI is an aftermarket/OEM manufacture and distributor of Mack and other makes. You will probably need to find a parts store that is set up with them and order that way. I use a company called Inland Tuck Parts here in KC,MO. After buying from the Mack dealer and getting PAI stamped parts but still paying out the wazoo I figured I should find someone willing to make the call to PAI and order parts for me. I have since bought a lot from them to floor mat set, hood latches, clearance lights, cab mounts, air horns, torque rod bushings, ........ Just in the price of the hood latches Mack vs PAI I saved $40 and the quality is better in my opinion from PAI, the fit and finish 100 times better than the genuine Mack made in china latch.
  9. they(PAI) only have it in beige Steering wheel 22inch 3 spoke Mack #12QC51AP7 PAI #FSW-1340 Horn button kit Mack #26MR31M PAI #FKT-1363 Steering wheel assembly with horn button kit PAI #FWA-1345
  10. looks like it is coming together. The wheel cut outs did you make your own beam or did you use a beam and cut it out than plate it?
  11. Anyone have the frame to frame measurements for a Superliner sleeper and the distance from the back of the cab. I think I have it figured out but looking for confirmation. I mocked mine up today and I have 6 5/8 from the sleeper frame to the truck and 3 inches from the cab.
  12. Check the frame it should be on there see if they match
  13. the Mack paperwork says the rear axle was changed at the dealer from a RA2D 301 (two speed) to a RAD 301 single speed probably at the request of the customer So they probably did the transmission at the same time
  14. Went last night after my wife got home from work and picked up the other one. "Hall Of Fame" Rating for my 7 year old HF 2500lb ATV winch worked like a charm can't beat a $35 winch with remote control. The guy I got it from brought a come along and I had mine only used them to get over the humps as the little winch would slow down real slow. Got off loaded this morning and the engine stuck in this one to so it is soaking.
