  1. I thought being totally confused was a prerequisite of working a Mack parts counter! Especially when dealing with trucks over 10 Years old.
  2. Where is it located?
  3. I hate the site is not working used to get email notifications of reply's I will check that out. Is it a pretty close match?, I wonder how that compares price wise to duplicolor
  4. Did you get it yet? Whats the status on the green one?
  5. Looks like another great find. Does it have a lot of frame rust being a sprayer rig?
  6. Barry I cant send PMs with out this error (see below) and posting seems to take forever or it does not load fully, hangs on the submit "saved" screen and continues to act like it is loading, I can open a new window with BMT and see my post while the original page is still hanging. I also do not get notifications via email been a few days thought no one was responding to my followed topics but when I open the topic there are several responses. SQL Error An error occured with the SQL server: mySQL query error: SELECT * FROM ibf_cache_store WHERE cs_key IN ( 'notifications' ) This is not a problem with the IPS Community Suite but rather with your SQL server. 7. I have not added the D rings yet wanted to load the B and the tractor. I was thinking about putting them down the center to. I figured it would be easier to mark and weld on after paint and then touch up as needed with some rattle can paint.
  8. The truck stopped back by today again, they brought the track loader back to drag cement trucks up to the build site as it was pouring rain
  9. Finished the paint work and the last of the decking. Lights and tires and then hit the road.
  10. This guy stopped by to pick up a track loader at new building site in my neighborhood. Did not look at it except as it drove by sent the boys down to take a few pictures as I was painting my trailer.
  11. I am thinking about that made color by duplicolor in there Engine Enamel with Ceramic paint, just have to see what is available
  12. Some of them is mine some is my sons It is supposed to rain tonight and clear off by late morning. Waiting on a guy to call back about his tractor issues, if it is dry enough hopefully can get the wheel pulled and acid washed and maybe primer.
  13. I also checked the AC and it is fully charged. It has an aftermarket condenser on it now attached to the front of the radiator. The new hood I have has a good one but i don't think I will be hooking it up unless I have problems.
  14. Update spent a little time and got this done. Been spending most of my time on this http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/38830-questions-about-an-older-trixale-lowboy-trailer/page-1
  15. Was able to to find time to do some more work to the trailer in between rain storms and stopping the boys from fighting. I got the airlines run and hooked up had to change the RE6 out for a R12 was hoping to be able to use it but after getting Bendix tech support response thought I should change it out. They had concerns that it may cause possible compounding. So instead of taking any chances and everything else is new whats another $40 to make it so there is no concern. I was able to get all the decking cut and in place except where need to paint it, I cut the boards but won't install until I paint. Just waiting on some sunny days, calling for rain all this week. I also replaced the single brake chamber as you can tell it came apart when testing the lines for leaks
  16. When you breaking ground on the new shop to hang that building on??
  17. Looks great, I agree about the Pepsi logo
  18. Looks nice from here. Is that Superdog?
  19. so what ever came of the truck? Did you get it is it running?
  20. I buy from them to no problems with the filters I used. I went to buy filters at the Mack dealer last year and they were out of the fuel and coolant so they gave me Donaldson. They didn't seem to think it was a big deal, even said it was the same price
  21. I was able to finish all the welding and was able to put primer on it last night came in around 10:15. I pressure washed, wire brushed, acid etched, pressure washed, wiped down then shot primer. I thought about sandblasting but the tread plate only had surface rust and mill scale everything else was basically clean. I needle scaled the goose-neck where it had a plate welded on but was untreated. That is the only spot where there was any serious rust corrosion. This morning I was able to shoot some paint as there was no wind. I only painted up to the wheels as my plan is to pull the wheels to paint the rims. I sprayed 3 coats on everything that is visible and two coats on the cross members. I had it on concrete so I painted the bottom on the creeper. The weather is supposed to be rain for the next few days so will see what happens. Looking back at it I should have used a different color but my wife thought it would look good in black but it also shows all the imperfection. The upper deck looks good but you can see the nicks and dings in the rest of the trailer where a green or yellow might not have looked so bad. I am not planning on a repaint to a different color so it will be fine. My lights are due Friday and I still have to run the new brake lines and add the chambers, than add the boards. It is coming together slowly. I was telling my neighbor today at lunch, if it would have been a customers trailer it would have been down the road a long time ago, I think I don't know when to quit and add or fix or do one more thing! I made a set of steps for both sides and coated them and the step under the trailer with bedliner materiel for slippage.
  22. Did you ever get it running?
  23. The poor man's way a hydraulic bottle jack a few tack welds a piece of chain and a length of channel and most important ambition with patience. I thought about getting it bent and sheared and made a few calls but decided that I would attempt it first since I would have had to load everything up and drag it into town. I tacked welded and made a few marks than started the bend with the c iorn and jack than Re adjusted and worked at it until I got the right bend. Then while it was pressed down I tacked it and used a hammer to get the corners down the way I liked. The left side went in like a dream so my confidence was up for the otherside.
