  1. with your hats I would have thought you were natives!
  2. No matter where you buy one from they look like they are made from the same place, I cant imagine that whomever puts one of these together on an assembly line is thinking this one might be a budget one so I will make it inferior. They are only thinking 100 more and I can take a break. http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/floor-jacks/22-ton-airhydraulic-floor-jack-61476.html http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200344413_200344413 http://www.uniquetruck.com/p-7142-yellow-jackit-22-ton-air-hydraulic-floor-jack.aspx?affiliateID=10056&gclid=CjwKEAiA_4emBRCxi8_f2cWWjFcSJAB-v1qy4ubumQ6zSKQx9eXp5kuHCSSAgcqGIXEtE77GJmFUJBoC8NXw_wcB 20% off coupon.pdf
  3. since you are talking about fraud auctions, just check out this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mack-R-Model-Day-Cab-Semi-/201269301374?forcerrptr=true&hash=item2edc95d07e&item=201269301374&pt=Commercial_Trucks You probably have seen truck already and according to the history it was sold a couple times and he has received feed back for at least two trucks that were sold but if you click on items for sale he has the trucks re-listed?
  4. I was just reading some reviews on amazon and they are complaining about the x pattern and not standing up to gravel roads, have you had any experience with them yet?
  5. My sister in law said they don't sell the LED headlights yet but will let me know when they do.
  6. I hate the bumpers, tiny steering wheel and the way the doors open. I do like the SS trim around the bottom of the hood. (mental note get some for the 1978 Superliner) I can't believe no one has mentioned the mirrors and the reversed dogs
  7. congrats keep the pictures coming
  8. VA waiting list??? I just got card in the mail a month or so ago that authorized me to use civilian health care doctor at the VA expense, apparently you contact the VA if they cant see you then you are able to see a civilian doctor. I filed it away since I use my Tricare for everything, same civilian Doctor for the last 5 years since I retired and we moved up here. His dad was a SF NCO who died of Vietnam related illness/injury, very keen on making sure I get taking care of. I only see the VA for the service connected injuries treatment that is non-invasive check ups. My injury surgeries were/are done through Tricare and manged through my civilian Doctor. My Doctor follows up and discusses treatment plans since I have had to see three different specialists. When I see the neurologists or physical therapy docs at the VA I give them copies of my civilian medical records, they give me a quick exam ask me how things are going and set me up for follow up appointment in another couple months.
  9. may have been old paint incompatible with the new especially since it was not stripped down to bare metal. How did the wire wheel on the grinder work for stripping paint? I have used them with a drill but never on a grinder, when I stripped/sanded my B I used a da, paint stripper, small spot sand blasting and wire brush on my drill. I saw the heavy duty wire wheels but never tried it. I thought it may damage the sheet metal.
  10. if its for vets leave it camouflage and paint the truck to match?
  11. Are you going to buy something while you are there?
  12. I like the tow pin in the rear of the frame.
  13. No problem I looked up my halogen light and sent her an email and asked if they had a LED replacement.
  14. They are supposed to last forever, if you can find the part number post it. My inlaw works for a lighting company they may have them in stock and if so probably can get them with discount.
  15. Thanks for following up with your solution
  16. How pricey were they? Can you get them online? Part number?
  17. 4.17 rears set up for 60 mph on 4% grade, if running against the governor will do about 74, two stick six, if it had tall 11R 24.5 it probably pass the off brands on the highway!
  18. I think it is over priced for a project with a blue tarp on it, but then again what do I know it might be a cape because it can fly down the road with that 300 and 5 speed
  19. Here is the video, turn it up I live that turbo! http://youtu.be/sFH6mKTUEVM
  20. No it was a fork she brought home from the "work kitchen" anything for an excuse to go for a ride.
  21. Well took the R out for a drive today up in the 40s nice weather for the next couple of days than back to the cold for another month, so I thought I would take advantage go blow some smoke. I drove over to my wife's work to drop off a something she forgot at home. I made a short video and will get it posted as soon as it up loads. Clear skys all the way to Iowa That is the Missouri River in the back ground The Superliner getting ready for some work
  22. Had the truck out to day for about an hour and it seems the oil leak is getting worse so I guess it is time to pull the injector pump and tighten the bolts on the inspection covers on the block. My question is does it require a timing light or can everything be done mechanically? How long should it take to do i.e. pull a working pump off and re-install? I figure about half an hour to reseal and tighten the bolts. I called around and everyone seemed scared to work on it and the Mack guys told me to bring the truck by on Saturday as the "old timer" Mack guy only works the weekend for some reason. I want want to know if it is something I can do or if it is best left to the Mack guy and if to him how long should it take to fix so I can get a ball park on how much it may cost. One shop told me 26hrs to pull the pump and put back on at $175 per hour plus misc expenses. That is over $4500! It has a Robert Bosch pump, not sure if that makes a difference, when I put a new fuel transfer pump on it everything came apart easy enough and it is clean except where the oil is dripping on the bottom of the block. I figured no more than 6 hours, but not getting it timed right and special tools has me worried about doing it myself.
  23. Keep this up and it will be back on the road with new clothes in a couple weeks!
  24. It would be really slow with smaller tires not that it would be super fast with large tires
