Switches or valves? I would think you would have only one brake switch that is plumbed into the brake supply line with two wires A hot and then To The Turn Signal to the lights

I don't have one on mine I just make sure I keep clean fuel and some power clean in it change the fuel filter annually I suppose you could drain the fuel canister if you thought it had water in it. As far as the line that has dark oil perhaps loosening it up and wiping it and re-seating the line might do the trick if you had the lines loose to prime it maybe some gunk got under the threads allowing fuel to seep out and dissolving the crud making it look like oil My primer pump leaked I took it apart and cleaned it up and put some thread seal er r on it seemed to work although I have not tried to prime it

I bought some hood alignment bumper/pins yesterday as one was broken, hopefully today I can get them on and try and find the engine number.

Looks good, my dome lights switch on one side was broke the other missing, I ended up putting a toggle on the dash.

My R has two battery boxes but I have only 1 battery in each and it also starts easy. The thing is what are you going to do with your truck? because of the short wheel base how about a steel or aluminum prefab bed, it would come with lights, bumper hitch, pockets and gooseneck hitch if you wanted. You would also be hard pressed to make one for what you could buy one for. If you are dead set on making one just goggle old flatbeds, plenty to look at.

Anyone know where the engine stamp sn# on a cummins is located when the data plate is missing? Was on ebay looking for a service manual went out to the truck and popped the hood and the data plate is missing climbed on it for a fewminutes and found this. I think the wiki is wrong it says by truck SN (RWL766LST39600) it should be a NTA 400 ISC but from what I can find on the interweb that ISC engine never came out until mid 80's and the pictures of an NTA 400 I could find online don't match the one in the truck. Of course I understand that the engine may have been swapped but waiting on the Mack Museum for verification from the build sheet, that aside want to start getting some manuals ordered so I can start poking around on her before body work. I have been working on the old girl just in case I found a bigger sleeper but a bout month ago I found 78 Superliner. Took her out for a drive yesterday, told my wife that since she doesn't eat, poop and need to go inside if she doesn't sell I want to keep her and finish her. We were out for awhile and the old cummins didn't miss a beat. She has a little road noise because all the interior is out, and a straight pipe also floor is out in the sleeper.

The air ride cab is an add on but seems to work good, drove it into town for fuel, not used to driving like I stole it but that's the only way the tranny and engine wants to shift, way different than the KW with the 13 speed. The KW shifts like the 1980 R with the 6 speed rev it up and shift when it drops low on RPM.

Looks great the dog should stay warm with that jacket!

Next project is more insulation than expansion of the shop-ma-haul right now I can get everything inside but the F but I a jd 3020 to restore this year so the KW is setting out but I have it listed for sale

Is there any other kind? I think everyone on here knows I don't over value what I am willing to pay.
