  1. when you upgrade buy some of theses so you don't get the vibration problem of off center wheels http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVMffpydv_0 They are a little pricey I think but everyone I talk to say they are worth the money and don't have to worry about the tire man not getting it right. Different manufactures out there so you can shop a little
  2. My wife thought your comment is funny, although we have been married 18 years it still seems like the beginning
  3. here is the link to watts so you can see what it is http://www.wattstruckcenter.com/store/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_78&product_id=183 the sealed beam light that came with my set was a dual beam halogen not the old sealed beam.
  4. Mack sells the entire bucket assembly with halogen bulb for just under $50 just bought some for my R, the B's use the same assembly
  5. I let my wife wear the pants in the family, I don't care if she is the boss when she gets to worked up I just cut her off

  9. Merry Christmas to all my BMT Friends around the world. I hope that you all have a great day and can spend it with your loved ones and friends.
  10. Sounds good, will take some time, use the right stuff so you don't regret doing the work yourself, make sure to prep the area you are going to paint in to prevent dust and over spray see if you can have someone that has prepped before come and check it out before you shoot it, its not rocket science but it will look like hell if the primer layer is not right. Also Black will show all the imperfections, white hides a lot so keep that in mind. Stop by a local body shop and make friends and I bet for a lunch or a 12 pack you will find some help.
  11. the truck seems to be pretty straight so it would not take much to repaint, could do it over the course of a few days, see if you can find a guy that does it on the side to help out, they can guide you on what you can do and then make sure that it is prepped for the paint. Make sure to pull the glass since you are changing colors, new lock strip is not that expensive and if you could have a glass shop pull it and reinstall for about $200 I am sure. Don't buy the cheapest paint available but something like oreillys nason or other house brand will give you good results with out draining the wallet. They also sell a product called slick sand primer which is what you want to use for the fiberglass hood as it is flexible, you can use it on the rest of the truck also. just my two cents as I am repainting my R. I hired a guy but seems like I am doing some of it to keep it moving along
  12. I like that you are bolting it on instead of welding it, as far as receiver height I think you look ok, you can also get drop or adjustable hitches, I have several up to a 9" for my dually pickup so I could pull a small trailer
  13. Hey Larry, why you picking on my favorite place to shop for tools?
  14. Mike Did you get it yet? Btw did you make it to the other side of the state last weekend?
  15. A good local glass shop should be able to come by make a template and cut your glass, where you are located in CA there is a lot of older mom/pops glass shops that can do this. There is a guy near LA that will bend glass too, he bought a couple trailer loads of templates from PPG when they bought out a glass place in the Midwest. I spoke with him a year or so ago when I was looking for some glass.
  16. Nice, hope my R turns out that nice
