  1. Great pictures Vinny! Thanks for posting
  2. Looks great, can you take some pictures of the stretch work so we can see what you did to complement your explanation
  3. I went to O'Reilly's they have some DOT approved lap belts for $17 bucks, same here my wife said no kids until seat belts. Happy Wife= Happy Life http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/SPR5/463250B/N0332.oap?ck=Search_seat+belt_-1_1761&keyword=seat+belt Just drill couple holes and install, I think it comes with everything to include instructions. When I redid the floor I used 1/4"' x 2 x 2 angle across the back of the cab for re enforcement and I just drilled my holes in to that. I have installed seat belts in other trucks and mounted either to the rear seat mounts or through the floor if you do that just make to use a large fender washer under the floor to stop any pull though, it is a 10 minute job even if you have to drill new holes.
  4. have you thought about re-bushing the axle or swapping it out? One time we did an axle where the machine shop bored out the axle and insert a sleeve
  5. Should be rear 18000lbs with front 8000lbs for a GVW 58,000 that's what my build sheet shows. I have the same set up FA 505 and RAD 508
  6. I would check the mileage, maybe its missing some numbers? I would also try a Chevy truck forum for that specific info, I just seen a 1959 C60 for sale on CL in running condition with less miles http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3987200374.html
  7. I am with Superdog and everyone else that said $2-$2.5K, my B61 is a contour cab and I have replaced the floor and stuff. Mine when I bought it you could jump in it and go for a drive and it actually ran decent shifted and stopped. I didn't pay anymore for that for mine, and with what I had to put into mine for just parts about $3700 that would be about right. That would put mine at around $6K and I think mine is only worth $7 to $7500 tops.
  8. wow, I thought this was going to have pictures from that big crane you took to Texas from NY. What they say, "keep the shiny side up", you did that. A good skilled driver can make a bad situation turn out good, and that's what you did.
  9. Where should I look for weird rust out that I may over look?
  10. Here is a picture of the back of the cab, it starts and runs and can pull a trailer around
  11. thanks, J what do you think its worth? The guy said make an offer, was parked on a farm for quite awhile and sat
  12. Can any one give me some info as I don't know much about a lot of things especially F Models The door says F785T 2999 single axle day cab, has a 5 speed
  13. do they rent golf carts there? that maybe an option, went to a show last weekend and they had a booth set up that was renting golf carts for as assistance transport, it was $10 per hour
  14. pictures and price are always helpful for those of us that don't have a bottomless wallet
  15. Just found this on CL http://salina.craigslist.org/grd/4071064081.html
  16. Welcome, looks like you are headed in the right direction, do you know what you are missing?
  17. They are for sale everywhere, where are you located? You can order new ones off line http://www.tires-easy.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=135&Cookie=froogle-CMTj1NHX0bkCFS1p7AodwHUAqw&details=Ordern&typ=R-187314&ranzahl=4&nichtweiter=1&pk_campaign=froogle&wt_ref=&ID=froogle&wt_t=1379395223000 If you can find tires that cheap online someone near you has some for not much more.
  18. I agree Mack for the cable and LKQ (used)or a reputable glass shop can get the glass, safelight keeps them in stock, they are just a little pricy I thought
  19. If you are only running as a hobby truck start looking for a decent used set of steer tires, the ones you have will last awhile if you take it easy. Check CL and any reputable tire shop. I bought 22.5 tubless all 4 new recaps (still had the stickers) for $150 because from a guy that was getting out of trucking. My two cents I ran bald or close to it 10.00 x 20 tubes on my B until I found these ones, they held air, must have been 30 + years old. I made sure they were properly inflated and didn't let them get to hot, I came back from a 15 mile drive in 100+ degrees and the tires smelled like I had been doing burn outs. LOL
  20. Sorry to hear of your loss, deepest sympathy.
