  1. I was wondering where he was to, a few months ago I saw some of his equipment for sale. Let him know he is missed and needs to log on once in awhile and say hi. Let him know best wishes for his health and a speedy recovery.
  2. I would like to have the JD 450 and the dump next to it, not the one that is for sale.
  3. Looks good, are you going to work it or just cruzin?
  4. Thanks Mike, I found them on google maps, I might stop by on Monday I have to go out by that way, just depends on time. I will let you know if I get a chance to stop
  5. Mike, I didn't know they had a place down here. I will see if I can find it and try them. They have decent prices but with shipping on heavy stuff I always shied away because of the additional costs.
  6. By they way they export the old Iron, the only Mack's that are 10 years or older will be left in the stables of collectors and hobbyist. Thank goodness for people like Superdog!
  7. yes that's what I am looking for, yours hooks to the back of the transmission? I was talking with a guy the other day and he said he had one that bolted to the trans but was unsure of the gear if it would match.
  8. How about this, I want to add a wet kit to mine, I have the 2 stick six speed TRXL 107 what pump and PTO do I need to get?
  9. Anyone who is an IH fan and needs a complete cab that would be the one, if only it was a Mack!
  10. Let me welcome you to BMT, my experience with older Mack trucks is they were not designed to be lugged I am with Rowdy, have them try running the RPMs up and see if that helps any. How is the truck set up in the computer?
  11. Superdog those trucks are looking good!
  12. Thanks for posting all the pictures
  13. Drove up to LKQ and bought a fifth wheel found a deck plate, quarter fenders and some steps. Really reasonable. They had a couple newer rds, dm and a ch and a bunch of cut off stuff likes transmissions, battery boxes tanks and such. Had a bunch of cabs all makes, was surprised to see a 1970's IH cab, loadstar 1600 no rust just the right passenger fender was dented the interior was mint perfect sorry no pictures this time but next time I will try and take some
  14. Where is the DOT guys? oh I know, checking log books for 30 minute breaks on over the road drivers
  15. I always seem to have more time than money so I am going to loosen and just rotate 180 degrees it on the hub. Is there a place that does spin balancing on the truck?
  16. can somebody post some pictures to compare?
  17. 84Superdog My tires are near new with less than 500 miles, they are also tube type radials 10.00 x 20 Michelins, I don't think they would be considered broke in. One thing when it comes to tire guys there seems to be a lot of conjecture, most don't receive any factory training or read the instructions so they base their opinions off the guy who has worked there the longest which is not always a good idea. The average tire guy will not always look at failure analysis reports or anything that talks about material breakdown, belt failure, shock damage etc.... I have worked at and frequented many truck and automotive tire places and the most tire techs get a few minutes of OJT on how to use the tools and are turned loose. We have all discussed lock ring tires on here but if you take them to a tire shop 95% wont touch them. Another is ring spacers on the Dayton style wheels, most tire techs don't know anything about ring spacers. Most only know pilot hubs and some cant tell the difference between them and buds, let alone how much to properly tighten them. How many Daytons have you had to use a 1" impact because the were over tightened? or how to true they were when mounted.
  18. nice, what did you do to repair the steering wheel?
  19. for entry $6 x 5 =$30, wristbands for one day $30 x 5=$150 plus food and parking
  20. I here you we were going to go to the State fair and tickets would have been about $175 for the day
  21. did you all show any animals? or just went for the fun of it?
  22. since you got that genset do you have a place you could use a window unit?
  23. Nice H, you need to change them T/A freightliner mud flaps
  24. take greyhound $99 ticket and drive it back, the ad says "Being a Mack Truck it has had the best service to it..." google maps says it is 2880 miles from Kent to Brick, say at 10 mpg and avg price of gas $3.59 that's only $1033.92 plus ticket $99 =$1132.92 saves you $67.08 and think of all the memory's and everything you will see! Maybe it will get better mileage since it has had "the best service" and that will even save more!
  25. Nice picks, was some of those pictures taken at that guys place that was featured on American Trucker?
