  1. Just got the springs they are new but will need to be cleaned look like they have a carbon or graphite flake to them, while I am cleaning all the springs I will soak the rotors in oil, they don't seem to have anything on them. I will wipe them and put in the oil. I bought a large valve spring compressor not sure if that will work, if not I was flipping through the manual and it kinda showed a tool. If I end up making something I will take a picture of it. Now to get dirty!
  2. Looks great, based on the tractor restoration the trucks will look great!
  3. it would look cool behind a single axle Mack
  4. Post the pics in the equip forum
  5. I would have scanned the whole thing but my scanner is a little to small for the sheet to show up properly. I have had a turn signal not work on the blinker but the park/running light worked I jacked around for couple hours, taking it off, changing the bulb.....did everything except replacing the light housing, it was the ground no matter what I did I could not get that light to flash I eventually added a ground wire and it works fine.
  6. Great pictures, have you done anything to yours yet?
  7. Got my UPS email will be here tomorrow both sets, then I will be busy get my girl running again!

  10. Dang Vinnie you didn't even welcome the guy before busting his balls CRICHARDSON, let me be the first to welcome you here, Vinnie is right no be models in 1973, check the year and the make and we can point you in the right direction.
  11. I am looking at the wiring harness schematics and drew up a crude map, the light housing grounds to the frame so make sure it has good ground, you can check the red and green to make sure they flash with a test light before you connect. Scan3.pdf
  12. is it the bulb? check ground
  13. I used to drive a Ford F150 with the triton V8 for my work several years ago, made me glad that had I owned a Chevy. It seemed my Chevy had less noise all around and the ride was better. Years ago I had wanted a Jeep Cherokee, I got the opportunity to drive one for about 9 months I was so glad when it came time to trade in, I got a full size Bronco. I liked it, it also looked like the state police supervisor truck and the US GOV plates really helped
  14. Found some on ebay (thanks Superdog), I bought two sets, that will do the entire engine. MACK TRUCK 672 707 TURBO DIESEL VALVE SPRING RC13SA
  15. That's what I was planning on doing for my gooseneck trailer to pull with my R, a local farm store has a bulldog brand for $120, mine is the round one. On my B I did not have a fifth wheel so I just put on a GN plate, works good. On the R I had been thinking about just putting a GN ball on it behind the 5th wheel, everything I have seen was expensive or I had to fab some special brackets and install a balI. That adapter looks like it might work, I also had the concern of movement.
  16. How do you plan on sealing the sleeper to the cab? That's what would be the PITA part as everything would be wet, cold or dusty
  17. Exactly, the replacement fix for mine was a tach drive and a separate fuel transfer pump, it comes with a prime pump my original did not have a prime pump. The tach adapter goes where the tack cable and transfer pump are in the picture and the transfer pumpw/primer goes on the injector pump had to take off a triangle plate and it bolted right on.
  18. how much for something like that?
  19. Check out the video under broke a valve spring in engines, ordered new valve springs today hopefully will have so I can get back running before the weekend
  20. Looks like it was a good turn out, did they break the record?
  21. hope they fixed the brakes better than the starter, been reading about the accidents the fire trucks been having
  22. I love that W, with the winch mounted behind the cab and not on the wrecker body, all that extra space behind the cab and the body really classes up the truck
  23. welcome global has a front axle cut off one with new box http://www.heavytruckparts.net/search.php?qsearch=TRUE&ManufMake=MACK&PartID=4340
