  1. Wow!!! Mike!!!, Great Job and looks great, I am still getting the run around on my R model on the paint, looks like I will end up painting it when it cools off.
  2. He said willing to part it out, by some of the pictures he already did, what are you buying a dump bed and a cab?
  3. Here is another study that I read a while ago http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/76-gm-trucks/64-maintenance-fluids/177728-lubricity-additive-study-results.html
  4. if you are talking engine oil it is what the manufacture recommend 15w-40, 30w etc... As far as additives for the ULSD fuel then that is what ever you believe, I also use the power service with cetane boost in my pickup, tractors, and the Mack's. This article also address the 2 cycle oil, http://www.dieselpowermag.com/tech/ford/0911dp_fuel_additive_test/viewall.html
  5. Being from Maine and growing up there I remember Coles Express, St Johnsbury also M&M. There is also a Coles express truck at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI

  7. Mike Congrats on the award and thanks for the pictures. We came back from MI on Saturday, I was thinking about swinging by that way but did not get much feed back from my traveling family companions, they were already looking at about 12-13 hours being on the road and they were ready to sleep in there own beds, the dog was the only one interested in riding more.
  8. Yes, That is how I did mine check out my gallery pics
  9. I think it is, it will probably collapse under the weight of its own ineptness... "it" can be whichever one you want to use....
  10. My experience with the Mack dealers (especially here where I am at) is they will not support customers that are asking questions without paying for the advice and if they cant pull up your truck with a vin don't even try unless you bring a Mack part number. If I cant find it aftermarket I now call and order parts from Ballard Mack (thanks Brad & Joe) in Mass and have them ship them to me here in KC. ( I am talking about my 1980 R not the B ) I could start a whole rant on that subject but that does not answer how he should resolve his issue. Rob
  11. Happy Birth Day America!
  12. tack weld them or buy the specialty bolts with lock nut
  13. I have bought stuff at govt auction not that bad of red tape, harder sometimes to go get it
  14. Here is almost a glider http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=6413686&convertTo=USD
  15. The bed is the best they could do? It would have looked better and showed they gave a crap if at least they would have fab it to fit if nothing else.
  16. Nice pictures thanks for posting, I like the astro and cracker box.
  17. Paul Congrats on the new truck, did not picture you for a U model man, thought you were more hard core with a DM or at least an R. How is the body work on it? It was on CL for awhile so I figured it just had some mud thrown at it and paint blown on it to sell. I am surprised you have not got a superliner yet for your lowboy hauler to bring your trucks to the shows. If you decide to sell the B81 from GA keep me in mind
  18. This one looks like the CCC/AM General M915
  19. Can you post a picture of the right hand door is it rusted out or just banged up?
  20. Is that Punxsutawney Phil and his wife on vacation?
  21. From the CAT websites looks like they are trying to get in the market where there is a shortage of trucks that was dominated by Mack. Think about it, why would CAT spend all that money on developing a specific truck line if they did not think they could take over a large share of that market, a void left by Volvo/Mack.
  22. Barry Any word on the discount from the Mack store?
