  1. Vison386: your right it is a LaSalle of 1938.Same grill as the one we had.the second one has a 1934 licence plate so guessing thats the year of it.
  2. What Make ,ratio, track, tire size.Mack have the best -SWSP97C -which were in the CL350 Canadian Logger.don't know if there still produced .Triple redution, with top drop ins .Clark 70000,or 91000,98,101,110 track,or 91000 housings with 121000 hubs,.wide variety out there.
  3. Stan Young Jr put a LJSW cab and fenders on a R and it looked beautiful.A fellow out here put a B-53 on a R but should have used a B-73 with longer front end.looked good though.will post pictures when get dug up..the B-53 was a used every day truck after the convertion.
  4. there was some 12 92 Ts put in Pacific trucks here on coast at the time we put put Cat 3412T s in three Pacifics. 1292s couldn't keep crank in them so replaced and drowned holding down a grapple yarder in 3 or 400 feet of water.I would like to know what injectors were in that engine.I think the power rate is way out of line for a green leaker
  5. like Jack Benny we only celabrate our 38th year after year after year.Happy Birthday.and a merry xmas.
  6. very nice looking truck esspecialy if it had a 6-71 or 6-110 in it
  7. they look to be out of early B 80 series.Hold down bolts down through top or have they got the hold bolts from outside bottom
  8. looks like the big rd has a LEAR retarder
  9. those FL remind me of the 50's Sterlings.Maybe the windshields.Specially coming at you on the highway.
  10. maybe OBOMA should buy those coal trucks
  11. looks like H 63 is used to pull 5th wheeler trailer around.
  12. The LTL is Dave's.His name is on battery box
  13. B61Mack:Is Stan Young still with us.Haven't heard from him in a few years.Say hello to him from me when yuo see him next .We put E9s @500hp and Mack 12 speeds in Pacific's,Challender's,Hayes's off-high-way trucks out here and they worked out really good.Beat out all others in fuel economy. Some evan had the 6061 Allisson trans behide them.
  14. VLADISAV: The A box I'm refering too is a 3 or 4 speed mounted separatly from main trans.7000 or 8000 series Brown-Lipe.My LJSWX has a cummins 220hp engine(origanal numbers)TR720 main and a Brown-Lipe 8041D Aux box.Truck now has double OD..078 and .813 into 9.02s
  15. greendash: I'll drink to that
  16. Vladislav: When I first got my LJ it had the TR720 main and a browny 8031-L which was direct in 3rd.Put truck at 40 MPH.Your's is not quite direct which would make it under 40 mph.If you put a aux in with a OD you would get faster speed.I'm 20 tonnes with trailer which is 9 tonnes.I can do 46.8 calulated on paper .I now have deep lug tires so I think I would be around 50.This is with a >813 OD in A box.
  17. vladisav: with that trans and a auxilary with a overdrive in it -maybe a 8031 C which is .075 and your size of tires and wheels with a Cummins @ 2100 it will do 50+.If you have a gas engine with a higher rpm you will go faster.
  18. dodgeman:niether my LJSW or my LJSWX parts books have got your number in them.
  19. dodgeman: my tr 720 in my LJSWX is 11KBA 5325P2.thats the.078 OD in 5th.your a box is .075 in 3rd.Mine has 11.00x22 tires and 9.02 rears with .813 OD in 4th in A box and I can't reach 50 .Should be on left side of trans which one it is.

  22. burninoil:I have a brochure on a 1952 LJT-G with 3 trans listed.TR 720 standard 0.78 in 5th,2 optionals-TRD720,10 forward 2 reverse,10th-0.78-9th 1.04,8th-1.00 7th-1.33,etc to basement.TRDX 720 10th-0.78,9th- 1.85,8th-1.00,7th-2.38 etc to basement.In 1952 a LJSW D the duplex was a TR150 with 10th-0.77,9th-1.07,8th-1.00,7th-1.38,etc.Hope this sheds somelite on your trans question.
