    It's a model 405A- 1028.the last 4 numbers means it was the 28th built.Get in touch with Mack Museum and give them these numbers and they will give you a line sheet on that truck.engine size,pump size,rear end model and ratio etc.

    I put a gold long eared one on my LJSWX and it didn't bother me one iota.It's over 50 years old and 50th anneversary is gold.the hell what others think.

    the Mack plaque your wondering about were on the rear cross members.I seen one on a LMSW M in WA.I seen a EQ with the side curtain Mack oval on rear cross members also.hopr this put some lite on it.

    d427:I used Hammerite one step-no prep spray bomb on my dash,doors,jump seat,heater on my LJSWX.check my pictures out on BMT.I posted my dash which turned out dam nice even if i say so myself.Its a hammered finish.It's made by Masterchem Industries Inc,Barnhart MO.www.masterchem.com.

    Nice 1960 B 733 with L cab on ebay that nobody seems to want.It's in IL x Watson Bros truck out of Omaha.Ebay number is 261115195958 but I don't know how to put listing up.

    Wayne: Do you know the size of front axle you have.Stamped in web under r/h spring.FA 508,510,600,etc.with brakes or without.Mack part numbers are FA 510 & 508 are 18AX145,146,881,882.for FA 600 are 169,170.mine is a FA 600.there 4inches over all.these numbers are for Budd wheels not Dayton.stud size in hub might be larger on mine.
