The Truckload Carriers Association has adopted a new policy in favor of electronic logging and will support the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's proposed near-universal mandate for electronic onboard recorders (EOBRs) to track driver hours of service. The price of diesel fuel rose for the 15th week in a row to an average of $3.908 nationwide, according to the Department of Energy, but at a less-steep rate than the double-digit gains of the past two weeks -- 3.8 cents higher than last week and 98.4 cents higher than a year ago.
