Hi all, Sorry for not blogging often - the Flinty's been put on the backburner for now! I'm currently in negotiations with a friend of mine who knows a farmer who has a 1964 Magirus Deutz with a aircooled V8 engine in it - I'll get the later on but I want the Magirus first! It's been a long held dream to get a air-cooled Deutz truck - now the opportunity has arisen.... I'm just waiting for my mate to get back to me on that! Then it's into the restoration! Cab, mudguards, fuel and air tanks and bonnet and grille off - sodablast them then off to the panelbeaters... engine, front axle, gearbox and diff off the chassis rails.... sodablast the chassis rails then they're off to the panelbeaters too! Then time to put the truck back together! To save time and stress, I will be putting each item's nuts and bolts into a correctly labelled container so not to lose anything! I hope this is okay to post here as it is not an American truck - in fact, I will say that this is a German truck to save time and confusion! Thanks for reading, Joe View the full blog entry
