  1. I know Australia has 240 volts.. I bought an adapter here in the States before we went Down Under to charge camera and phones ETC.. If England has a different power status you should be able to find an adapter.. Although you really do not need a block heater for starting until the temperature gets below 30 degrees Fahrenheit, 0 degrees Celsius..
  2. The Mack R model and Brockway 700 series cabs were made by Sheller Globe company also of Orville (??) OH.. The cabs were not totally interchangeable, especially in the cowl area as Mack used a tilt hood and Brockway was still using a Butterfly hood. I wonder if Orville Body made the Brockway integral sleepers???
  3. Thank You.. I have seen those trucks with a 90 degree turntable for the hoist and body. Going to be a long slow process having to do it that way..
  4. OK, Dumb Butt question???? How do you get the rock into the dump position??? Is that a road beside the rails on the far side???

  6. Those floor mounted dimmer switches tend to collect dirt and water and corrode back up the wires a long ways as well as the plug corrodes..
  7. May be no help, But search Upstate New York truck salvage yards. They might know of a township or county highway dept that would have manuals left on the shelf??? The Mack RM 4X4 was a very poplar double wing plow truck in the "Lake Effect" snow region east of Lake Ontario. Get out your Rand McNally atlas and you will see the area I am speaking of..
  8. Thus taking longer to build up oil pressure in a cold engine..
  9. By taking the ferry they are a shallow enough draft to take the inland channel and do commercial work. These pictures were taken at Ketchikan or Wrangell. This man put a 40 or 45 foot reefer in the side door of the ferry.
  10. Did you get time to do the Totem Pole museum in Sitka??????
  11. Bob, I am glad you enjoyed your cruise.. Never been on a cruise ship, BUT have taken the car ferry to Alaska twice.. First from Prince Rupert BC to Sitka Alaska. After pulling a 12 foot U-Haul trailer with my F-150 from Bar Harbor Maine!!!! Second time from Bellingham, Wash to Haines Alaska via Sitka Alaska. Great scenery and saw some whales on both trips.
  12. Jeff Lakaszcyk posts most every evening on the Just Old Trucks website ( https://forums.justoldtrucks.com/ ) in the "What Am I" section.. He must have over 100,000 truck pictures on his computer.. His email is: Lakaszjl@aol.com
  13. Thanks for the pictures.. Our ATHS Palmetto Upstate chapter show is this weekend in conjunction with the Dacusville Heritage Assn Farm Days. GPS/Google maps 3147 Earls Bridge Road Easley SC.. Will try to post some pictures next week/
  14. I wish a big thank you to Hippy for all the memes.. BUT I have a question for the Dumbocrats.. Since you keep calling on Trump as being anti democracy, how do you explain you are running a presidential candidate with absolutely NO primary votes from the people of the good ole US of A??????????????
  15. I am going to suggest just a plain steel bumper painted the same light green.. That way it would match the light green visor and the light green across the back of the cab??????
  16. Randy, Is Gregg the man in Central PA with a drop deck who has moved a lot of fire trucks??? If so, I could NOT remember his name..
  17. Joey, Daryl had a large riggging / heavy haul business. He was very active in the antique / historical truck hobby and a close friend of the late Erv Bickford of Yarmouth ME. He also was a large collector of 4X4 type equipment. He had something like a dozen LINN tractors and snow plows.. He passed away of a heart attack, in his mid 50's, about 5 years ago. Do you have the ATHS Showtime picture book from the 2012 Springfield Mass show??? He had several pieces of equipment there..
  18. Is the late Daryl Gushee's, New Glouster ME, trucking business still in operation????? He used to do a lot of that work..
  19. If you are going to put antique/historical plates on it someone in your chapter should (??) know how to deal with the state DMV or maybe know the right DMV office to go to..
  20. I was going to mention Bub Warren.. Was not sure if he was still in business after his father passed away?? The last contact info I have for him is : 806-374-3056 lilyellowbus37@gmail.com
  21. Larry and Tom, Check out the rural "Penny Saver" type advertising newspapers. There might be an ad for Bobcat work that might have a post hole auger attachment?? Especially in cattle farming areas.. The man who rents my pasture land has one for his Bobcat to build fences with..
  22. Craftsman and Snap On used to make a 1/2 drive screw driver blade to just this purpose that Mechohaulic described you making/building..
  23. If you fail here in the States, possibly Tony Champion in Townsville NSW AU might have them???
  24. Tom May I suggest you enclose the carport better to prevent wind driven rain and snow from hitting your beautiful truck.. There was a posting up in the fire truck section about carports not protecting as well as a barn..
