  1. I am the same way!! From here to the Bushnell FL show I run 221, 1, and 301... From here to Alaska we only ran the interstates when the old US Highways got on and off for a ways..
  2. I visited the late Ian Lee's home shop, as well as meeting him at Tony Champion's open house, in August of 2015. All the Aussies I met on that trip seemed to be square shooters.. Since you are located in Canada some of the old British Commonwealth tariffs and shipping may apply?????? Have you contacted Tony Champion looking for parts????
  3. I will be looking forward to seeing them.. You and Zina have a safe trip back home..
  4. Being from the land of Fruits and Nuts almost anything is bound to be absurd!!!
  5. The sausage with peppers and onions looks good!!!! $8 for a cheese burger??? They must be the same a Charlotte: Charge race day prices for ALL events!!!!!!
  6. Have a safe quiet Turkey Day..
  7. Paul: Contact Ed Edminston in Dubbo NSW. He imported a 1976 model 761 with 8V92 in it from the states.. He also attended the Brockway Weekend in Cortland NY several years.. He can probably give you a good history of Brockways in Australia???
  8. The above sounds good. Do not know what your horseback dates are, BUT the Brockway weekend in Cortland NY is the second weekend of August..
  9. Buying big parts, engines , cabs, and the like up here either in the States or Canada sounds like it might be a nightmare in exporting???? Especially if you buy in Canada then come thru the States to get to your exporting container.. And what does Australia let you import???? I have driven across both Canada and Alaska a couple of times and still recommend renting a small/midsized motor home (caravan)..
  10. I still have a house phone!!! I am not married to my cell!!! An older style flip phone.. It is usually on the kitchen counter or in the truck cup holder.. With my bad ears I can put the house phone on speaker and hear it OK.. Especially the voice mail part..
  11. Just like the Yellow Pages in the phone book... I can never find what I am looking for!!
  12. Paul: Before we came down in 2015 for the ATHS Tour, I went to the AAA service center and got an International Drivers licence. When I asked him if it was good for a big truck, after explaining why we were going Down Under, He got his stamp back out and stamped another box on the form and said you are GOOD to go. Never used it!!! Instead of buying something up here check into the Camper / Motor Home / Caravan rental companies... The 4 person ones mounted on a F-350 or 3500 chassis would be excellent for touring with just you and the Princess with NO need to worry about licencing and insurance. You might want to check about one way usage???
  13. DCW: I can drive anything as long as I and/or the Truck DO NOT get paid.. DAs Geoff says above check you home state laws.. If you can find the PR / desk bound officer for your "Diesel Cops" they will take the time to look up the law a LOT BETTER than the local DMV.. We even has one come to our chapter meeting, lay out the basics and answered a lot of questions.
  14. Down here it is labeled "interstate excepted" on the form you have to sign..
  15. JoJo I have the same here in SC.. You just can NOT operate a vehicle if either you or the vehicle generates ANY revenue..
  16. TJC: I know exactly what you mean!! Sit at kitchen, eat breakfast, and watch the news,, Then go in on this damn puter to check emails and truck sites.. Suddenly it is NOON and I have not done anything productive???
  17. I have to do the same!!!!!!
  18. Bob, BUT Obumma is still behind Biden pulling the strings like a good puppet master!!!!
  19. Will it be salvageable??? the right front corner looks BAD taking that tree out..
  20. Larry, You are right.. Maybe Springfield MO??? As I did NOT make Auburn or Ft Wayne.. I knew about the Studebaker but not the Sightliner or other makes..
  21. Our prayers are with you and your family.. Besides the change of diet, quit smoking if you did, and gentle regular exercise, did the Doc's say anything about a rotor rooter job or other major surgery????
  22. Thanks for the pictures.. With the length of that boom out back, that Oshkosh needs more weight up front if they pick up anything Heavy...
  23. Thanks Paul... Did they have any older Macks????
  24. The man, my age, that rents my pasture land said his son has a friend who runs a local slaughter house and he has been selling a lot of his beef cut and wrapped.
  25. $300 Grand???? What and what kind of weight is he going to haul on a Tri-Axle rollback??? Especially enough revenue to make the payments.
