  1. Kenny Rex of Northampton PA (Allentown) Has green Diamond Reo conventional.. long wheelbase but NO sleeper that I remember?? It was at Macungie 2 years ago. Came in on Saturday Morning and was parked up by the pool across from the main trailer parking.
  2. I was told when I bought my Diamond T 921 cab over that it would not go into reverse.. Replaced the universal joint in the shift linkage and it worked perfect..
  3. DO NOT put it in neutral.. Leave it in gear so when you come out of the corner you can get the gear you need to speed back up.
  4. Paul, Thank you for the ad.. Various outfits must have imported Brockways even earlier than your ad as Archie Baines down in Victoria has a, just postwar, Model 88 (the smallest Brockway) front clip, cowl and chassis in his boneyard when we were down in 2015..
  5. Tommy and Zina:: Thanks for the pictures.. That Brockway Pick up on the drop deck with the military 4X4 chassis is one I have NOT seen before.. The Dalrymple on the door was a large sand, stone, and concrete company from Elmira NY which is the 50's and 60' had a large fleet of all Brockways.
  6. Actually Brockway had a prototype for a 1978 new model on the floor when Mack closed them out in the spring of 1977 and Mack kept the design and made it the Superliner. The old Brockway website had a big topic on it with many pictures from the engineering / design room.
  7. Paul, I think (???) you sort of have it figured out.. And yes it operates different than most of US roll backs (tilt trays).. The unit Mowerman posted the picture of is a Landall trailer version of a tilt tray only the tandems slide forward to lower it to the ground..
  8. Thanks, Part of it comes from going to National Shows for the last 20 years.. You meet someone and then he introduces you to someone else, ETC ETC.. My big trouble is at a show I can put a face with a truck and NOT know the name in the middle!!!
  9. Also check the sides of the frames, both sides, above the steering axle between the spring hangers.. I do not think there was an approved place on the frame and who ever had the job of stamping serial numbers sorta put it where he wanted..
  10. Contact Ken Kafka he is in the Denver area somewhere.. ATHS Intermountain West chapter contact. 970-834-7925 nash2ton@thinair.net He has Nash Quads, WW 1 FWD's and Colemans. Also Tiny Miller is in the area with a 52 or 53 Ford F-800 with the 317 Y-block Lincoln engine., and God only knows what else.
  11. You must still have to start lowering the back of the deck before it gets out as far as you pictured?? other wise the front of the Mack will be airborne!!!
  12. Dean, Does that LJ say Commercial Truck Sales with a Diamond T in the center??? The 1959 Diamond T 921 that I sold to David Fay came from a Commercial Truck Sales in Winston Salem..
  13. May mean an extra day, BUT go down to Colorado Springs and ride to Cog Wheel railroad up Pikes Peak..
  14. Have you got an ATHS Wheels of Time???? Go to the chapter listing and look for the Yellow Rose Chapter in Texas and contact them, and ask the same question.. If you dot not have the WOT, PM me and I will PM the info to you..
  15. Looking Great!!!!! I am with Paul as wanting to seer it work.. That still looks to me like a LOT of overhang????
  16. What about the weight??? Probably need a dualy truck?????
  17. Joey Go to the Purple Wave website.. I have been there before but do not remember the procedure??
  18. I would hold off until you get the plumbing for the spring lock brakes all figured out as some of these valves will have to carry air to both systems..
  19. Wen I came home last night the local Hot Spot was $4.19 for diesel
  20. As TJC said above be sure to add spring lock parking brakes to the rear axle. This will require new brake chambers with 2 diaphragms, a new distribution valve on rear cross member, a dash valve, and a bunch of plastic air tubing.. Did you remove the 5th wheel to clean the frame or are you going to replace it with a gooseneck ball to haul your other toys??
  21. Thanks for posting the picture.. YES!! It was great to meet and visit with you all...
  22. Last year the was some transport parking on beyond where the Palmetto Upstate truck were.. If nothing else put it in the display line as there were quite a few working trucks in the show..
  23. Be sure to bring the side kick!!!! Also we can put the wives in the picture??
  24. I am shooting to arrive about 9 AM??? Some of our other guys are going up Friday afternoon for a convoy / light show..
