  1. That is similar to the "Big Bud" tractor up in Montana(???) that I have seen videos of..
  2. Do you Have the Showtime Book from the ATHS show in York PA in about 2016-7??? That is the last time I can remember that Gary Mahan had it at a show. I have never Googled the Mahan collection to see what pictures he has on there?? It is a 1942(???) wartime black L model cab with a large wood colored barrel on it, about 10 foot wide with a Cummins Engine
  3. I think you are RIGHT on Non-Ethanol ONLY!!!!!
  4. Around here most of the new QT's, and some of the small local store chains, have non ethanol all the time.
  5. Tom, I always add the Stay-Bil to the cans before I fill them.. That way it is mixed in good!! And then fill the DT from the cans..
  6. With this ethanol in the gas anything can happen!!!! When it sits it separates and draws condensation...
  7. Mech, that center one might be an air start???? Also in the 70's - 80's oil shortage and big price jumps a lot of carriers carried more fuel so the could turn a further distance on home terminal fuel..
  8. For the amount you will drive it, you can run off one side only..
  9. I know it is more expensive, BUT use ONLY non-ethanol gas!!!!!!!!! It will save you a lot of problems down the line... Just ask my Diamond T how I know!!!!!!!!!!
  10. No Offence!!! But that is still NOT enough to shake any sense into most Joiseyites!!!!
  11. On Big Moose lake in the Adirondack mountains of NYS, they used to place a weighted 55 gal drum out on the ice and the 2 bars that had picture windows facing the lake always had a lottery / pool as to when the drum went down!! Even to the hour!!!
  12. Is that big one a power steering reservoir???
  13. They are an extra headlight light which hangs below the bumper.. The common brand was Perlux and in the old days you could get aircraft landing light bulbs for them.. With yellow lenses they helped in fog and snow as the yellow reduced the reflection back at you.. Similar in use to the big ole lights you folks added to your Bull Bars!!
  14. Personally I believe that this "Climate change" of getting warmer is all a natural occurrence.. If you look at history in the US, The winters have been getting progressively milder.. Washington had Ice in the Delaware River when he crossed it in the Revolutionary war.. I am not saying the modern industrial era has NOT helped it!!! Is the planet still coming out of the ICE AGE????? Remember that much of it was Tropical when the Dinosaurs roamed the land!!! How else do we have OIL in Alaska???
  15. In the past 2-3 years we have had several 2-4 rated quakes within a 50 mile radius of Columbia SC.
  16. I have driven all three types of 2 speed shift.. The air was on some old Brockways and worked excellent.. The only vacuum shift was on an old GMC, with the flipper valve under the dash, it seemed you had to let completely off the gas to create vacuum enough for it to sorta force the shift.. Never had any problems with the electric ones??
  17. That much weight on a tag-along trailer behind a 3/4 ton pick up????"? Better him than me!!!!!!!!
  18. OK!! What was it????????????
  19. Do some checking.. I have heard that in 5th AND you run the 2 speed rear on the low side it tears things up????? 4th over to 5th over and back..
  20. Are you bringing it to York and Macungie??? I plan on both..
  21. KS, I believe you are probably correct.. Your answers mesh with the questions I asked in my earlier post..
  22. I know nothing about large ships, BUT are the rudder and propulsion equipment computer controlled??? So that the loss of power creates loss of control?? If so, what about all the computer control of airplanes and trucks??? Accidents waiting to happen???
  23. Congratulations!!!!!!!! Welcome to the "Tired Iron World" !!!!!!! Going to be a snug fit for Zina and 3 dogs in it on the way to shows??
  24. Gary Mahan has a BIG checkbook, so I presume he got the trailer also?? And will display them together at his home collection, But probably only take the tractor to shows?????
  25. Matt, He might bring it to Macungie when he gets it ready??? He has brought some large stuff before like the big War time Mack water wagon from the INCO nickle mine in Ontario..
