  1. Put your photo chop skills to work!!!!!
  2. Paul, You and princess have to schedule a trip to the States Next June.. ATHS will have their National in York PA then 100 miles away, ATCA will have their National in Macungie PA a week later.. If your mind can handle well over 1500 trucks in 2 consecutive weekends!!!! With plenty of time to take in a couple of museums and historic sites in between..
  3. Thanks for the pictures.. I have seen some of them at Macungie..
  4. Tom and Zina, Looks like you got a great deal!! Maybe a few too many electrical gadgets!!!! In 2014 When I bought Ram 3500 I was able to pay for it by combining both our 401 required distributions and paid it off direct deposit. My daughter in Cheshire Conn had her VW SUV stolen right out of the attached garage, at 10 AM in the morning, because the keys laying on the kitchen counter were close enough to the sensor so the kids could start it and drive away.. All of it caught on video security camera.. Cops found it and another stolen car, that was in the driveway video, about 25-30 miles away.. Interiors trashed, radio stolen, overhead console tore up, and other misc stuff. Told son in law to put a manual cutout switch in either the starter solenoid circuit or the electric fuel pump circuit and hide the switch under the dash where it is convenient to operate..
  5. Thanks for the history of Hennis.. I am familiar with that area north of Winston Salem..
  6. Larry, I am with you.. At 78 and a big ole beer belly, my joints just will not let me crawl under and over vehicles to work on them..
  7. Where is Swishy from Australia???? He had a several page long topic on one of the websites that was nothing but bashing Volvo's.. It may have been https://www.hcvc.com.au/forum ???
  8. Were the beautiful Hennis pictures originally color or have they been computer colorized?????
  9. Unusual stack thru the hood in that last picture!!!
  10. Dan I cannot tell you when the 855's came out (early 60's??????) but the Big Cam 1 was in the late 70's.. As far as joining ATHS Personally I think ATCA (Antique Truck Club of America) is a better organization with a better Magazine. Their annual show in Macungie PA about 15 mile southwest of Allentown Is the better show with over 900 trucks displayed. Also there is a newly revamped website, Just Old Trucks, which will have a lot more valuable information than the ATHS site!! Brocky
  11. Has that turtle got Roman Confused??????? Crawls along then when Roman shows up it becomes a rock..
  12. Sounds Great!! Love the Backdrop.. Earlier you said you might have to put a muffler on it??? Would one of the old "Pancake" Mufflers keep the great cakkle???
  13. DITTO!!
  14. Bob, Going south on US 64, they are on the left (east) side of the road about a mile or two north of town.. US 64 may be marked east and west, but in that area it is running more north and south.. One of the men with me caught the trucks out of the corner of his eye and I had to turn around and go back..
  15. Paul, The 2 men from Cimarron New Mexico, which is in the north eastern corner, are:: Al Miller, 1953 Bullnose KW and 1979 KW.. Norman Pick ,1953 Mack LTL with flatbed. and 1955 KW Bullnose!!! If you are looking to buy a Bullnose KW I am willing to bet it is one of these 2 trucks!!! The listings in Showtime only show the city name,, No street address or phone number!!!
  16. Apparently you are NOT an ATHS member.. I do not blame you!! They are an overpriced money hungry outfit, and Foreign postage is outrageous.. But they do publish a picture book each year with with all the trucks at the national show in it, with names and city names.. Let me dig mine out and see if I can find some info for you.
  17. I cannot remember their names right now, But there are two collectors that live close together in Cimarron NM. We visited their facility when we were on our way to the Colorado Springs show in about 2013??. One had a yellow L model Mack twin screw flatbed. The other had a brother that lived in the Denver area that collected Fords.. 1953 F800 with the Lincoln 317 in it.. Funny how you can remember trucks but not names???? Get out your Colorado Springs Show Time book and the Yellow Mack should be in it..
  18. Eddy It is great to hear from you!!! Even if it is on a Mack site 😀😀
  19. Why do those pictures make my hemorrhoids burn????
  20. Tom You forgot Model T spark plugs and fan belts, radiator hoses and other misc auto parts..
  21. I did not know it was still the law..
  22. I remember hearing about the Marmon Nuke haulers.. Done up like an armored car with unmarked escorts... If you look at the picture above of the white one you will see the armored car windows..
  23. I think Nu Joisey had the last fuel people to fill your car or truck??? I think there was a state law against self service?????
  24. More Aussie Iron!! Here is a link to another Australian show:: https://www.hcvc.com.au/forum/truck_Chat/21111-yesteryear-truck-show-08-07-23?start=0
