  2. I did the Iowa 80 museum on the way home from ATHS Des Moines show.. What a great place!! A lot like the Keystone in VA, You can go back every year and something will be different..
  3. I think that "ADS" company is all over the States?? I know I have seen them in Alabama also.
  4. I am a Rotella fan.. Use it in everything..
  5. In the mid 50's I vaguely remember our township, Town of Caroline, Brooktondale, Tompkins County NY, Having an early 50's Duplex single axle dump truck. No idea if it was 4X4???? At that time they were running Advance Design Chevy's with Coleman 4X4, then in 1956 the town added a F-800 Ford with Marmon Herrington 4X4.
  6. Try BEPCO Inc, 2475 South Stratford Rd, Winston Salem NC 27103 336-760-0740 1-800-735-1154 outside NC. I got a rebuild from them for my F-600.
  7. The 5.9 Cummins would also be a good choice.. Here is a link to Tom Millard's conversion in his 1955 Brockway 154. :: http://www.brockwaytrucks.org/messageboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=4952 He also told me he got 13 MPG bobtailing from Scranton PA to the ATHS Lexington KY show and back.

  9. BUT, I will bet the first few times took some conscious thought???
  10. Get in touch with Mike Harbison in Iowa.. He is a wealth of knowledge and has about 150 Macks, in various conditions, parked in his back yard.
  11. Thanks Swish!! I never got to drive anything while I was Down Under, even though I had the international driving licence paper. One of the Canadians in our group got to take one of Tony Champion's around the block.. A BIG grin from ear to ear!!!! I think the hardest part would be getting used to shifting with my left hand???
  12. Check in with Mike Harbison in Iowa.. He has, he knows of, a LOT of Mack parts.
  13. Carson, that size should fit on a HotShot dual tire tandem axle gooseneck flatbed behind a 3500 dually all right.. or a longer heavy duty tag along?
  14. I was at the same point of 70+ years old and no shop big enough to work on them.. Sold my DT 921 to a man in the Atlanta area who has it back roadworthy.. My two Brockways went to an avid Brockway restorer in North Carolina.. It took about 2 years to find a good home for them!!
  15. Yes it has. Appearantly the "Private Party" rules could not be met for the Cruise In to Greek Peak??
  16. Thanks much!! Now I see what they said about being visible from 321.. I know where the turf farm is..
  17. No I do Not.. Contact Steve Rosemond or Bruce Essicks.. Their contact info should be in ATHS WOT..
  18. In the middle 70's I worked at a Matlack facility to transfer bulk plastics from rail cars to pneumatic trailers and one of the transfer machines was powered by an inline 6 Ford diesel. Do not remember the size???
  19. For Corbitts and a Brown you must attend the ATHS Piedmont chapter (Greensboro NC) shows either at Spencer NC in the spring or the Colfax NC in the Fall.
  20. The new owner got it around some as the week before he had it at our show in Dacusville SC and at then end of the month he participated in the SC Special Olympics Convoy in Columbia SC
