  1. There are both up in Greenville.. 50 miles away... We used to use Sams bu now we do not use as much and some bulk spoils before we can use it all up..
  2. Harry, PM Paul MrsMack... He had said earlier that most pre 1990 Macks came from the factory with air starters.. He might know of an Aussie supplier????
  3. I think everybody flinches when an air starter activates. I remember in about 65-66 on the college campus at Oswego NY the back of the library / book store building faced one of the big pedestrian walkways. After delivering his books a B Model Mack delivery truck hit his air starter. I do NOT know which was louder, the starter or ALL the girls screams!!!!!
  4. Have you tried Courtney at the ATHS library in Kansas City???? Does the ATCA HQ in Boyertown PA have library???
  5. If a serious war starts, America will be SOL as we do not have the industrial capability that we had in 1940 when WW 2 started??
  6. Our 2 room grade school also had a gravity feed hot air coal stove in the cellar.
  7. I did NOT notice anything said about it this morning on one of our local TV news stations.
  8. Hippy, he has the mate to the truck you just sold!!!! Time to start over????
  9. Paul, Thank you.. Being an ex farm boy, one of the things a miss about being an OTR interstate driver is seeing the various crops being planted, growing, and harvested across our country.
  10. I dot not know if Trump's staff follow this topic or even if my statement belongs here??? If not will the moderators put it in a proper place,, I just read on the conservative Daily Caller website that illegal migrant, Jose Iberra, who was convicted of the killing, and several other related counts, of student Laken Riley has filed a motion for retrial. This person is NOT an US citizen, so therefore should NOT be eligible for the the same judicial rights under the Constitution that American citizens are!!! I propose that Trump get a law enacted that these persons be tried and sentenced under the laws of of their home country!!!! Stand them up against a wall and shoot them!!!! If this were true many of these illegal immigrant criminals would shortly turn back and haul A$$ for home.. I know the ACLU would pitch a hissy fit, But they can also go to the person's home country and defend them there!!!
  11. My parents burned anthracite until the mid 60's when natural gas came thru.. Many of the Ag business truckers, with grain body straight trucks, in Upstate New York used to haul hay to the NYC area horse race facilities and return home by way of the Scranton PA area with a load of hard coal and deliver it to our houses.
  12. Thanks I have done that several times over the years to get a truck back to the shop...
  13. Either way a snow plow has trouble getting air unless it has the flapper valve to draw air from under the hood.
  14. Many Municipality's in the "Snow Belt Region" Of upstate New York had these RM 4X4 Macks, many with double wings... When you start looking for parts check out the salvage yards and municipal auctions in a 100 mile radius of Watertown NY.
  15. You Have a couple of great trucks.. I always liked oilfield equipment.. I think that it will take two loads to get them home??? Might be OK weight wise, BUT the length will kill you!!!!
  16. Same here!!!!
  17. I do NOT know all of Mack's numbering system, BUT in the R models a 600 series had a Mack engine and the 700 series had outside vendors engines.. The 22.5 is the tubeless version of the 10-20 tube type tire. Size wise they are interchangeable. Just start looking for decent 22.5 rims and tires and you will be in good shape. Depending on what you are going to use it for, as a hobby truck you can get away with what you have is they are not too far worn or out of date..
  18. Please add it to you profile.. Being a F-712 what engine does it have in it??? If it is a 2 stroke Detroit you have to make sure the rack is free or it will run away!!!!
  19. She is just one of the many reasons NO ONE trusts the leftist corporate media anymore!!!!!
  20. Where are you located?? That looks like a GA plate on it????? First try to roll the engine over with a bar on the front pulley bolt. If free, start from there.
  21. TJC, 1957 was the last year of the "Big Job" Fords.. I think (???) the Big Job name was introduced in 1952 when Ford introduced the 317 Y block Lincoln engine in the F-8 and F-800 series. Ford changed the name to "Super Duty" in 1958 with the introduction of the 401, 477, and 534 CI designed for trucks engine.
  22. I sent this topic in an email to a buddy in the Allentown area.. Will see what happens????
  23. Here is Quadbox's 1957 Ford T-800.
  24. Johnson's also has a 300 series Brockway with a wrecker, that says "The Happy Hooker" on the front bumper, that is very sharp looking unit that has been in the Brockway Museum during the 2017 season. I forget the power train right now??
