Yes he does. I think there is a You Tube of him playing in the snow covered field with it.. Also a steel wheeled motorcycle with wood stake body side car, a big Air Force missile carrier KW with a V-12 Cummins in it, and a big barn full of trucks.

Our company had a group of Freightliners come in the a switch mounted on the frame just ahead of the drives, with NO quarter fenders.. Don't ask how long they lasted!!!!

A lot of Linn's, the one at ATHS Springfield Mass, and other odd ball stuff.. He bought about 150 boneyard trucks from Erv Bickford's estate. Hosts a Pine Tree chapter meeting once a year. He is a neat guy in his early 50's and would probably be glad to let you look around if you make an appointment??

I enjoyed our trip very much!! Would come back again tomorrow if the checkbook would allow it.. GREAT PEOPLE and a fantastic land!!! Would like to rent a camper(caravan) to do the old Hume Hwy / Snowy River. And if you have passenger rail, do the long hauls on it.. A person cannot see much from 30,000 feet in the air, not to mention that airplanes do not stop at junk yards.. The song Waltzing (Aussie slang for traveling/touring) Matilda was written in 1891 as a protest song during the sheep shearer's strike and has become the nonofficial Aussie national anthem. Australia's most famous country music singer / song writer was Mr. Slim Dusty (1927-2003), as well as country he also did many trucking songs. Maybe we need to start an Aussie slang topic???? The Just Old Trucks website had educated me some? Plus my 2 week vacation "Down Under" last year. Just a few: Track=road, tipper=dump body, tray= flatbed, swag was answered above, Matilda was a US depression era hobo's bedroll with all his belongings in it, swagman=hobo or migrant worker, scheme=project, Pommey (from the acronym POME, Prisoner Of Mother England) =Englishman or English made, Yanky=American, billabong= swamp land or zoo, mate=friend, and there are many more.

Billy They were shaped the same as the Freightliner logo and placed on new Freightliner trucks.

Billy I believe that the CF lead trailers had dolly legs which folded up under the trailer as it was hooked up. These lead trailers and long tractors were kept in the Akron Ohio / York PA turn around while thry could use any kite trailer. Their nickname was "Suicide Doubles" for their interesting handling.

Our Dept of Safety man said ribbons and trophys are NOT compensation, BUT buying your breakfast or a case of beer are!! Would be sort of hard to prove by a DOT officer, but then again a lawyer in a fatal suit would definitely try.

Ken is right.. Most or all states require that a vehicle must be "retired" to a hobby status with absolutely no commercial usage to qualify for antique/historical plates and insurance.

Here is a "Johnny Cash Special" Rat Rod built by one of our ATHS chapter members from his boneyard. Front half of the frame, small cam tilted 290, 13 speed, both fuel tanks (right side made into the battery box), radiator and shutters from an International, Front axle and steering column from a F-800 Ford on homemade air ride, Rear half of frame, air ride, and axles from a Freightliner, channeled cab and grille surround from a B-53 Mack, made from scratch hood, widened B model front fenders, and rear fenders are 4 B model front fenders widened, visor from a 54 Chevy, a used Pete bumper, and wood decking.Hung peddles moved into a well in the firewall to give him more legroom. Is in primer and said final color will be Mack Green.

Yes there is global warming. We are still coming out of the last Ice Age. Historically winters have been getting easier since before America was founded.. Has man sped it up?? Probably, BUT NOT to the extent our politicians are telling us!! Remember several hundred thousand / million years ago Alaska was a tropic paradise with dinosaurs and now it is oil and then the sea level was low enough for humans to walk from Siberia to Alaska!! When will it reverse again? Only God knows!!!

Swishy I now hate to ask what your sausages DO have in them??? I do know they shure did taste like sawdust!!! Started to like your bacon, sorta like thin sliced ham. On the way home I told the wife I was looking forward to a southern redneck fried baloney sammich!!
