  4. Another off the wall thought.. Is there a blockage in the cooling system that is not letting enough water back to the #6 hole??? I remember that the old straight 8 Buicks in Flxible busses would burn #8 if you worked it too hard for too long..
  5. I have full coverage on my trucks thru State Farm also.. No problems as my agent also does a lot of commercial and farm vehicle work. My 55 Ford F-600 only has a declared value of $5000 and it went thru on pictures only, BUT my 1949 Diamond T 201 pick up has a declared value of $65,000 and that took a letter from an approved appraiser as well as the pictures. A lot of the guys pulling a trailer, with other equipment on them, have gone to Gulfway in Hudson FL as they will insure the trailer also. Do a search on here as this topic has been hashed out before.. Post us some pictures Brocky

  9. VInny Are you planning on going to school at Morrisville Ag & Tech?? Good place.. I grad from there in 1964..
  10. Is that $500 on top of the normal destination charge?? If it is then a refund of the dest chg and another $500 should pay for your plane ticket and expenses?? As far as customs goes the same broker who gets it thru for the transporter should get it thru for the owner???
  11. Mcrafty As long as you have your pictures in your computer, go to the bottom right of the reply box and click on "More Reply Options" and then follow the instructions.
  12. Tim I am with Vlad.. Great scenery pictures..Keep them coming.. A lot of us enjoy learning the rest of the geography and history of other countries, besides their trucking. The "Down Under OZ, NZ" topic on the Just Old Trucks website is well over 200 pages long and we discuss a little of everything from trucks to snakes to guns to country music to growing cotton.
  13. That B model tanker is similiar to the one James Suttles (ATHS past pres) has painted and lettered Matlack green and yellow.
  14. Looking good!! A great job... Looking forward to another picture with the rear wheels done like the steering.. Definaately a show stopper where ever you take it..
  15. LOOKS Great!!! How do you keep the fiberglass and paint from melting???
  16. That looks like a Minnisota plate? And twin steers were more common in Canada. So I would say it is North American, otherwise it might be the product of one of the European shops that recabbed WW2 stuff after the war??
  17. Here is a link to some pictures from the show.. There are some good looking Macks mixed in near the end: http://forums.justoldtrucks.com/74506/Photos-of-the-2015-Central-California-ATHS-Show-formerly-the-Kirkland-show
  18. I have never seen a side dump in action either.. Looks like they would roll over sitting still, let alone dumping on the move..
  19. Paul From the context I would say it is the name of the trucking company?
  20. If it is a hobby truck just going to shows I would not worry about it.. You can always fabricate one.. How about the bottom of a 2 liter pop bottle??? or something simalier??
  21. The 10:00 X 20 tube type tire become a 11 X 22.5 Tubeless tire. as to the metric these are mostly the low profile tires and will let someone else answer that.
  22. Quite a tour this week.. Thanks for the pictures.. Have delivered powdered clay with a pnuematic trailer to Koppers in Follensbee about 35 years ago..What a DUMP!!
  23. Paul That pipe and pump is probably because it was a street washer in the summer..
  24. Peter Some how I think (????) that is an aftermarket addition.. Some where I read about a company who made them for several different brands?? Wasn't there a F model with one pictured here about a year or two ago??
  25. There is a whole big story on them in the Nov/Dec 2010 issue of the ATHS Wheels of Time.. 844 CI just smaller than a Cummins. Turbocharged, intercooled. Vlad they were in the Late 60's early 70's.. Would out run nything on the road BUT had serious realiability problems and never took off.
