Mark Your picture of the Trend looks like the one Howard Fugate owns. .He had it at Winchester about 2011 The red little stake bed is a 1936 to 38 Model 80, 3/4 ton which preceeded the Model 201 1ton P/U

Today's odd ball Diamond T.. Jeff Lakaszcyck of the JOT WAI? forum first posted this about 4 years ago.. It is a prototype Emeryville built by Diamond T with DT badges on it.

Matt That COE with the diamonds in the grille was known as the Royale and the conventional with the same grille was the Raider. Both are fairly scarce today

That deal fell thru.. Give me a shout after Labor Day. 864-677-3453 In the very late 70's / early 80's the Osterman Group of Carlisle PA bought the dies and all the necessary parts and built Built the Diamond REO Giant untiol the mid 90's. They had to add the word Giant to them because Volvo tried to sue them. Osterman also used the air cooled Deutz diesel which had a very sloped down nose.

Carlotpilot Yes it is a single axle, 220 Cummins, R-96 RR, 4.10 rear on 24.5 rubber. It is the first Diamond T and the 1st tractor owned by Wrangler Blue Jeans.

Ken To add to Mikes correct answer: After White bought both REO and DT in the late 50's they closed the DT plant is Chicago and moved production to the REO plant in Lansing MI. White then built DT's, REO's, and special order heavy duty Whites all on the same line with a mix and match of sheet metal and Badges. On May 1st, 1967 White combined the two makes and created the name Diamond REO.

Jim That is a good looking DR. It is basically the DT 931 which came out in 1961. Here is the 921 "China Closet" cab from about 1955 to 1960-1..

Mark it is always an honor to be involved in local history. I am friends with the township historian from where I was born and raised in upstate NY. As a result I have copies of many Brockway truck from the local trucking company. She has also sent me elementary school class picture for help in identifying some of the other kids.

Thanks I thought I remember seeing it a Syracuse, but have not seen it a Cortland for the last few years I have been there. Are you going to bring it down to Cortland next month??? I am sure it will create a big discussion as some of the old factory people are around.
