    Tom That binder with the long body is one of those built like a roll off with a chain bar floor to pick up the big piles/bales of cotton that the farmers compress in the field to be taken to the gin.

    Mike Winn-Dixie in the Greenville SC area has closed up. Thinking they were originally out of Florida and do not know if they are still around south of here.. Last trucks the ran here were Brigadeeres with 6V71 or 6V92's in them.

    If you are going to pull a period correct loboy/dropdeck with a farm tractor on it, how about a J I Case farm dealer look with their butter cream yellow cab and Flambeau Red fenders and tanks??

    My Jan/Feb issue of Vintage truck magazine arrived yesterday.. A good article on a 43 ex-Navy Mack ED 1 1/12 ton boom truck from Washington state is in it. Available at Tractor Supply, can possibly pull up on their website.

    The cowcatcher grille guard may have been an extra cost option, but I think Ron might be right, If you bought a grille guard it came with the letters on it..

    The letters on the Brockway cowcatchers were very common. Almost think they were a factory option.. I know Ithacs Delivery had ID on theirs. There was some discussion about this on the Brockway site a while back and Tom Millard had looked into some one reproducing them. Maybe Joe D. can help shed some light on the subject..

    Ken Sterling Hornoi of Regina Sask CA has one mounted on the back of a 1949 REO flatbed which he brings to a lot of the ATHS National shows and fires up. Probably will be at York?? I think that video Tom just posted may be Sterling's engine.

    When I first got a radio in the 70's I stood 6 ft 4 in tall and weighed about 180 lb. One of the mechanics gave me "Broomstick" After another 50 lbs of beer "Dun Lop" over the belt buckle and a job change I became just Brocky. For the last 10-15 years have only used the radio in bad weather conditions.

    Mackdaddy I am sorry, I did not take any pictures of it.. Ivan Hosted the Heart of Dixie chapter show at his garage. He had it parked inside with all the front sheet metal and radiator off, the big old V-12 out in the open for everyone to see. He was doing body work on the back of the cab. and the door still said Taunton and Galt CA in mailbox stick on letters.
