  1. The Celli truck doesn't look bad from the side, maybe dressing up the hood with the standard B model chrome would help. I think the front would've looked better if they had tried to better duplicate the wells for the headlights. I've seen pictures the Clariben hoods with the dual headlights on older Macks and those just don't look right.
  2. Never drove one but rode in a few and I'll admit I wasn't a fan at the time. I do remember a few discussions my Dad had with other drivers regarding B's and I will say that everyone knew these trucks were indestructible, whether they liked them or not. Funny how times change, I can't get enough of them now!
  3. That's great that you were not only able to trace it back to it's roots, but even found a picture.
  4. Nice work. How hard was it to find the Cummins sticker?
  5. That sums it up right there! Is that your KW?
  6. At first I thought it was Mack green, but it looks metallic.
  7. Gotta love a white steering wheel.
  8. You call that work? I can do 2 pees and a poop without even getting out of bed! Uh....... Anywho, I would like you to teach me how to communicate. I typically leave the house at around 8pm and every so often come stumbling back home around 330 am. It's those nights that the MRS. asked me what I did. "What'ja do last night?" "I drove to Summersville, WV and swapped trailers with a driver from Roanoke." "Then what?" I..uh..drove back home. I need to take a night like that and either glorify it or pepper it with so mch gibberish and double-talk that she loses interest. I'ts funny how when my ass comes dragging in around 9am I don't hear a word. She knows those are high-dollar nights and she can continue to enjoy the lavish lifestyle she's accustomed to.
  9. No problem, she can be a handful at times. 'preciate the help. After 21 years of marriage, she still likes to spice things up. We have 2 kids, Basil and Herb.
  10. Creepy, yet clever. Devious, yet ingenious. I like it. Frustration aside, a few bucks and a few minutes of your time to repair? Today, similar symptoms could be caused by a million dollar ecm. Those were good times.
  11. Ooh, I love cliffhangers. You're lucky. It's never, ever cloudy where I live.
  12. My bad. I saw the shot of your legs and didn't notice all the other pics. The pierogies look delicious too!
  13. In a related topic, I was starting to feel guilty about be happily married and posting pictures of women from my past. For the sake of equal face time, here's a picture of my beautiful wife. We met at a grocery store.
  14. Screw the blue car! I say we need to call the D.O.T.! That B doesn't appear to registered, has no right side mirror, and where the hell is the top of the intake? This town is out of control. Where's the OUTRAGE???!!!
  15. Because of the nature of the LTL business, I sometime have to display multiple hazmat placards on the trailer which makes the truck a target scale houses. I was pulled around at the scale on I-68 in Frostburg, MD at around 1:00 one morning and the officer climbed through the entire trailer checking the various hazmat bills to make sure all was secure. Fortunately those scales are usually closed at night.
  16. You are correct, sir! This was originally a fire truck.
  17. Best of luck to you. Hopefully since it's within the company the transition will go smoothly.
  18. I borrowed these pictures from Barry's photo album and figured some of you may not have seen this one. It was previously owned and restored by Anthony Shuster, owner of Shuster's Building Components, my former employer. I saw it once but did not have a camera.
  19. Whew! I feel like I dodged a bullet. I think the standard 352 was better looking than the "H" pictured above, but I also prefer the K100. I think Evel's might be a '72 because it has the then new style nameplate next to the step but the old style doors which is the same as the '72 my Dad drove. I've seen others from that era that came from the factory with the old nameplate and new style doors. The F model Mack was and always will be my favorite cabover but the first time I climbed into the then 2 year old K125 I almost had to catch my breath. It was huge and had thick padding everywhere. It had the same stripes as Evel's only it was blue/white where this one is red/tan. It had a/c, 8 track tape player, sliding 5th wheel, and heated mirrors! For the drivetrain, it had a 350 Cummins, RTO-915 trans, and 4.44 rears on torsion bar. It seemed unstoppable with 40,000 lbs of bananas in the box. I'll go back to my room now.
  20. I was Jan from The Brady Bunch. These things happen when you're raised with 4 girls. Maybe those weren't such good times after all.
  21. I kinda like the K100 and the not-so common Pete 352H, which was designed specifically for the newly introduced Cummins KT450 and Cat 3408. I'll shutup and go to my room now.
  22. They do look delicious. BTW, did you ever get around to finishing the pierogies?
  23. Allow me to continue kissing up. I agree the Clariben hoods take away from the appearance although I'm sure I'd see the beauty in them if I had to work on a B model engine. The idea that you would build one for the sake of preserving history is quite commendable. Okay one more...Is that a white steering wheel in your BCR? If so,
  24. Like many of us on here. I can relate in some way to every single example you gave of what it was like growing up back then. Of course I would've loved to have some of these electronic gadgets that are around today (like the one I'm using right now) but I would not trade my childhood in the 60's and 70's for anything.
  25. Uh...hello! Shouldn't we be calling the police?
