  1. Of course I gotta get a little mud on the tires Which is all well and good till dad has to pull it out with the suburban because I got it stuck. (No photo because I was too ashamed to take one) But finally, after much throwing, heaping, pulling, rooster-tailing, and a whole lot of fun, the pile was successfully moved Ben
  2. Well today I went out and hauled a bunch of scrap wood from our last home renovation project and I decided to take a few snapshots: My yard truck A.K.A. The "Yeller Truck" 1981 Chevy C10 Deluxe. Regular cab, short bed, two wheel drive, 250 straight six, automatic. The wood pile: This was about halfway through the process. It's amazing how much stuff I can actually haul in the shortbed:
  3. Hahahaha Ben
  4. Rowdy- maybe you're on some sort of list...................... Just joshing ya, it's probably your server or provider Tim
  5. There's a C model at Watt's Mack if you really wanted one. Ben
  6. Yea, they have them in Pittsburgh too. They're pretty cool. Ben
  7. Maybe they just had it in high range so they could do wheelies. I would think that if it had a deeper gear (rearend or tranny) that you could wind it out and not pull the wheels up as bad. Ben
  8. Really? Doesn't the link work? If not, just search Jumperandson Antique Trucks and Automotive and it'll come right up. Ben
  9. That kinda seems odd because they have a picture of a roll up door on two swing open doors. I woulda done it so it looked like one door was open. That would look more realistic Ben
  10. We had the chance to buy a single axle '73 Transtar II cabover with an 8V71N in it a while ago but time and money kinda got in the way. I really would've liked to have that truck Ben
  11. They're being pretty hard on that truck, It needs a deeper gear so it's not luggin as much. That is definately an 8V71N and it has no exhaust on it, just manifolds. But all and all, it's pretty neat. Ben
  12. Sounds like an 8V71 to me, but he was trying to score the liner in part of the vid and smoke the clutch in another part. Happy medium, dude! Detroits could pull the wheels empty. Just sayin. Thanks for posting Vinny, that's cool! Tim
  13. Thanks Tommy, I'm glad you like it Ben
  14. Hey guys, I recently created a facbook page called Jumperandson Antique Trucks and Automotive. I have and will be posting about everything that my dad and I do with vehicles. This includes additions to the colection, project updates, vehicles and parts for sale and lots of pictures. So if any of y'all might be interested in whats going on in the Jumperandson world (not neccesaraly truck-related, cars too) need any particular parts or vehicles, or just want to stick your nose in to what we're up to, give the page a like, and proceed to enjoy http://www.facebook.com/Jumperandson Ben
  15. Nope. The trucks inside look exactly like the ones on the outside Ben
  16. I vote that you just do the right thing and buy a GM Ben
  17. Right down the road from here, my buddy had a his garage doors painted like they're open and his F model and his B model are sittin there. The cool part is that when he opens the doors, guess what, there sits a nice F model and a nice B model just like the picture Ben
  18. There are no girls like that in Gladys. And judging from the angle of the pic, you would be sitting on the curb, not from the protective surroundings of a big red KW. Not hatin, just sayin. Tim
  19. I feel so special! Definitely not a Detroit as the 6-71 has two roundish covers on the back of the block below the head. Tim
  20. Super! You can put a baby seat in a Mack right? Tim
  21. I think that I'd apprieciate the tailgate closing on that one, rather than the mudflap(s). Tim
  22. This guy's youtube channel is PAMiningmachinery and he has a ton of cool videos like this, going around explaining all the parts and history of trucks like this as well as other huge strip mining equipment. He has an unthinkable amount of knowledge and is extremely happy to share it with the world. I really like him and his channel. If you guys are ever looking for some videos to watch just go on his channel, you can find anything imaginable as far as heavy duty off road mining equipment. And he does have some videos of stuff running and driving too Ben
  23. I am a true, hardcore GMC fan, but those trucks are just kinda wierd looking. I think I'd rather have a cannonball, a General or an Astro 95. But anything with two strokes is good Ben
  24. That's awesome! Even has an offset cab for Vinny. Bummed it's not a 12V71 though. Tim
