  1. You know, I had a dream the other day that you guys dropped an 8V92TA in that thing before you put the cab back on but I woke up and looked on here and apperently you didn't. Oh well, looks great Vinny! It's starting to look like its gonna be a nice truck. A lot nicer than our International for sure, haha. Cousin Ben
  2. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The guy might be great or a real schmuck, the phone call might tell right away. Get it on paper no matter what the deal so everyone's on the same page, I'd hate to see your stuff outside when a paying customer wants your space. Good luck, Tim
  3. Yea, I heard that. So if I bought one for one of my trucks, I'd just have to put the rear axle in up-side-down. Ben
  4. Oh yea, I have two of those visible V8 engines. I started building one of them, but I haven't finished it yet. Ben
  5. You know, I don't think I could shift with my left hand Ben
  6. Cool! I wanna take the International in a parade sometime. Ben
  7. I didn't realize you had any R's Vlad, that's cool. Could you PM me a picture? Ben
  8. I'll say! I'd love to wake up to that. I'd put a miniature air starter on it. Ben
  9. Sweet! I like em both a lot. Ben
  10. That's sweet! I want a running quarter scale 8V71. Maybe I could build one. Ben
  11. Yea, that is a pretty sweet looking truck, I like it. It sure would be nice if it had a Two-Stroke. Ben
  12. Thanks! I can't figure out why it won't play on mobile devices. It won't play on my dad's iPad either, it's that way for everything. Ben
  13. Now you really sound like my Cousin Vinny. Ben
  14. Sweet! The 6V53's rev up like it's the end of the world. You hit the throttle and Bam! The motor's spinning the max RPM. They're awesome. I've always wanted to get one and put it in my dad's GMC C35 rollback. Ben
  15. I've seen steel soldiers but I don't have an account on there. But we welcome any truck on here, (even peterbilts) especailly something cool like a military truck. Just post about it in the "Antique Truck General Discussion" forum. We'd love to see it. Ben
  16. Thanks for all the complements guys! It was impressive that it only took us two weeks to restore it like we did. But it took Watts two and a half weeks to do the brakes. It needed every single brake part in the whole system. We just got it back last week. On Monday, my dad and I were cruising dow route 22 and he looked in the mirror and his face got real concered. I looked out the back window and I couldn't see very well because the back window was completely covered in oil. We immediately pulled over and found that everything on the whole back of the truck was covered in gear oil. It looked like somebody took a 5 gallon bucket of 90 weight and set it on the fifth wheel plate and set a grenade off in it. OIL EVERYWHERE. It sorta seemed like it was coming from the front drive axle, but it was hard to tell exactly where it was coming from because of all the oil everywhere. So we took it to Watts and they figured out that the oil filter on the axle had a hole in it and was spraying right on the u-joint, thus the oil spraying everywhere. But they fixed it and now it's fine. And, the oil filter on the axle is the same as a small block chevy oil filter, so it now has a cool chevy racing oil filter on it. Plus, if we ever have to change that filter, we already have a bunch on the shelf. So the truck is all ready for unlimited driving and enjoyment. But I have to re polish all the chrome because it all got covered in oil. But other than that, it's great. So next week sometime, we'll go and drive it and I'll take a video. Ben
  17. If it starts right up, sounds stout and looks good, it must not be a Mack motor. Mack engines are ugly and sound horrible. If you're lucky, it could be a Detroit. Ben
  18. I was actually wondering about the warning points too. Who issues them out? The moderators? or maybe Barry? I do wonder..... Ben
  19. Oh. Well that's awesome. I thought they would've been more. I think I might just look into them. I think I'll have to get my stacks first. Ben
  20. Don't you just hate when that happens? The worst problem I had was at the county fair when I was sharing an apple dumpling with a girl and she said something really funny right when I put the spoon in my mouth. Let's just say we had to use a lot of napkins. Ben
  21. I actually really like R models with dual rectangle headlights, factory or not, I think they look cool. But only when the rest of the hole is filled, that one from the Barrington show looks hideous. But the one staxx posted looks great. A bunch of the local fire departments around here use R models with rectangle headlights and they look sweet. And, of course, there's Richard with his "Cadillac Mack" That truck looks cool too. Ben
  22. Nice to meet you! I'm Ben and I share this account with my dad, Tim. We like Macks but we're obsessed with anything Detroit Diesel. Military trucks are really cool in my opinion, it's neat to see one on here. I can't wait to see some footage of your finished M818 I think it looks awesome. As far as the B model goes, twin sticks aren't that bad onece you get used to them. Can you drive it with a gut? Yes but there may be a little bit of resistance on the rim of the steering wheel. And as far as starting it, when you get it home, post a topic saying something like "I wanna start up my B model and don't know how to do it" and we'll take it from there. Good luck on your projects. Ben P.S. Watch out for that Vinny kid, he kinda likes stuff that leans over.
  23. If I thought there was somebody in this world that has fallen asleep on a motorcycle, I'd have thought that it was somebody on BMT. Ben
