  1. Hey, I was wondering, what would an Australian U model look like? Wouldn't the driver be in the middle? Ben
  2. The reverse rotation bus engines were a hit or miss. Some are, and some aren't. If it is reversed, that means that the bell housing is on what would usually be the front. You can take the power from either end. An inline two-stroke (3-53, 4-71, 6-71) could have the blower on the right side or the left, the exhaust on the right or left side, and could rotate clockwise or counter-clockwise. That's one of the things I like about the old DD's they were very universal. Ben
  3. Yea, what everybody else said. Happy Birthday!. Ben
  4. Can I have a couple of B models for Christmas too? Please? Ben
  5. You either love 'em or hate 'em. I Love them. Ben
  6. Send a well-written letter to the Mack Museum. Give them your chassis number (on the front frame by the right spring shackle) and they will send you a whole pile of stuff. I got a huge service manual specific for B60's and it has EVERYTHING. Diagrams, measurements, torque specs, troubleshooting, it has it all. They like donations, I sent $20 but I'm going to send them more soon. The Mack Museum is definately the place to get anything B model related. Ben
  7. The absolute best engine in the world, Buy It! The only thing you have to do is not lug it. They love to run between 1800 and 2400 RPM, they can't be lugged. If they are run over 2500 RPM you can break a connecting rod and end up with what I call an "Aftermarket Access Hole". They leak lots of oil by design. They are two-stroke engines therefore, they are LOUD. But if you don't mind the sound (I love it) it will be the best engine you ever had. I has very low miles, so it should be in great condition. It could be anywhere from 400 to 650 horsepower depending on what injectors it has. How bout some pictures of the vehicle? I'd love to see it. Ben
  8. Were the U's made before the R models? I thought they didn't make R models until '67. Somebody please correct me. Ben
  9. Great story! I feel so honored to have been in it. Happy Birthday Otherdog. Ben
  10. I saw that on youtube too. I would love to have some of them, they look pretty clean for PA trucks. Ben
  11. Is that the same for the R models too? I knew it went for B models but I didn't know about other series. Ben
  12. That's a shame. Hopefully the video will teach some people to pay attention. My dad has always taught me to pay attention and learn from other peoples mistakes. I will say that my dad is a pretty good driver. Any time he has to text somebody while he's driving, he always passes the phone to me or whoever is riding with him. He always says to focus on what's up ahead. We believe that alot of accidents are caused by the drivers that are looking at the end of their hood. Not paying attention is the most popular cause of accidents, not only while driving, but in life in general. Ben
  13. I think there should be a spell check tool on here, then we wouldn't have to worry about any of this. Ben
  14. Neat! I would love to have it. I think my neighbor has one like that, when I get back to PA I'll go down and look. I'll post some pictures if I can. Ben
  15. Cool! Looks like an awsome restoration project, it appears to be pretty solid. Ben
  16. We're going to have to work on your grammer and spelling, Cousin Vinny. Ben
  17. When I get back to PA, I'll post some better pictures. Cousin Ben
  18. You would be suprized at how many girls around here are into that kind of stuff. You can't really tell from the picture, but she is quite attractive. She would be the best looking girl at Macungie by far. Demolition Derby is very popular in western PA, so alot of girls are into that aswell. All of the girls in the picture are at the Derby every week. The before mentioned girl (Sara) is actually running in the Derby this summer and I'm helping build her car. Cousin Ben
  19. The girl right next to me in the picture would be more than willing to help me out with things like that. Sometime, I'd like to take her with us to a truck show with us. She would love it. Ben
  20. How about the "Keep Ben Jumper From Being Broke" Charity. But seriously, it's really good that you're donating the money to charity. Ben
  21. Alright guys, I guess I'll keep it the same, but only because you said to. Ben
  22. A Mack with a Detroit. Nothing better in the world. Ben
  23. Amen, brother. I am living the dream. I have everything I could ever want: Mack Trucks, Girls, Detroit Diesels, and Food. And a job too. Ben
  24. My dad probably wont let me put them on the B60, but I'm definately putting them on my pickup truck. I'll have to carry a first aid kit, because some of the girls don't pay attention. Ben
  25. Believe it or not, I'm actually pretty popular amoungst the females. They actually asked me to take a picture with them. I love 4-h girls, they're the best. At the dance, there were about 27 girls and 13 guys, that was cool. Ben
