There's one for sale on epay right now, I'd guess 40 feet long or so. Taking it off of a drop deck wouldn't be a problem, I'd have Watts use their wrecker or my old B61 wrecker to carry it to the end, then drive the trailer out from under it. Loading it there wouldn't be that easy I'd suppose. I really think those things are really cool, but can't find one more locally. Tim

I'm thinking about buying a running driving GM bus and cost of transportation will weigh heavily on my decision. Probably needs a Landoll, but can be driven as well. Thanks, Tim

I didn't want to hijack Farmers thread so here goes: FYI, semi trucks pulling 32 foot camping trailers don't fit behind Waffle House in Carlisle, just in case you think that it looks like they do. It is impossible to tell that your trailer tire is shredded while driving a straight-piped Detroit riding on Rayco spring suspension on the Pa turnpike until someone tells you. You really do need throttle return springs on the governor. With JT as my witness, I left the show with two, wound up on the turnpike with none. It's an amazing feeling to have the loud pedal fall out from under your boot. Thanks to Tim Hoover for the zipties. Always put nice mirrors on your truck, mine suck something awful. Route 22 from Altoona to Indiana county is mostly uphill, seriously uphill. Nice seats are important. Front drive axles that leak 90w create lots of cleaning work on your new trailer. Best show yet! Hats off to anyone who actually HAS to drive a truck to make a living. That was the longest distance that I ever drove my cornbinder, and I have a new appreciation for someone that did that regularly. Ben went to camp today, when he's back, we'll post pics. Really nice to meet people in person(some for the second or third time) and other than the jagoff in the motorhome that I pulled out, everyone was great! I think that we could've spent a week there just hanging out and bsing with everyone. My only complaint is this: we need to put a stop to the trains and their fing horns during the wee hours, that's all. Detroit was adequately represented. I can't say if we were the noisiest there, but top three for sure, and that's gotta count for something! I'm not saying whose jump seat that was that JT posted, but it was sweet! Pudding cups, huh?

Well it's not how much you eat, it's what you eat. I eat like an elephant all the time (ask my dad) but I eat very healthy foods all the time as well. It makes a big difference. Ben

I spoke with a rep today who told me that there is still camping available, so we will be taking our trailer behind the Cornbinder as the B61 isn't ready to make the trip. We will probably show up around lunch time on Friday, see ya there! Tim

Well I'd like share my two cents on this scenario. First of all, I believe that it is very hard for kids to avoid bad habits that their parents have. I personally wouldn't hate on the kids and grandkids for being overweight because I don't think it's their fault. It is the fault of their parents for letting them get that way. But on the other hand, the kids should be able to look at their parents and say to themselves "I don't wanna end up like that" and make their own choices. But sometimes that is hard for kids. Another thing is that the 13 year old that weighs 150 might not be that bad. When I was 12, I weighed 160 and was like 5'5". Now I am almost 15 and I'm 5'10 and still 160lbs. Not to mention the fact that I eat more than anybody else I know ("eftovers don't usually go into the fridge, my plate is the the place to put them). If he is eating a healthy diet and doing enough physical activity, he might turn out just fine. But anyway, congratulations to Randy. Not only my super-physically-fit, BMT pal but my funny, entertaining facebook buddy too Ben

Randy, I will always give you a hard time about the Detroit stuff , but I really have to hand it to you for sticking with it. I know several folks that had the surgery and slipped back into their old habits and put all of the weight back on. I'll bet missing all of that extra size has you hitting the floor running in the A.M.! It seems that you're a guy driven to help others, ill bet that you could be the poster boy for perserverence. Fred, my 6v92 only leaks power steering fluid. Well, maybe a drip or two of oil but nothing to speak of. Really. I didn't realize that boats with hi-pro Detroits had oil issues like that, thanks for the info! Tim

Moochie Welch got dropped off by a Detroit powered semi right before Christine mashed him in the alley, but I loved that movie way before I knew that Detroit was the way. Ben and I would be happy to donate a classic 2-stroke plate to help with your social climbing if necessary.
