  1. I wanted a a bigger dump truck for my construction buisness. Everything in my price range was very well worn. I Bought this truck from a junkyard in NH in 2006, It was a Derry NH fire truck with 32K miles and in great shape. Scrap $ from the pump and body paid for the dump and plow. It's been making me money since. Best truck I have ever owned.
  2. Would anyone know the part number for the clutch cable for a Mack MB685?  Thanks

  3. I'll give this another shot, I'm not looking for what transmission my truck should or should not have. While I am an admitted Mack novice I can read fine. I have a 1977 MB685. It was built in April of 1977 with a 237 Motor and a TR722 Transmission. I am the second owner and this transmission, while never breaking speed records, has done everything asked of it and performed superbly. It gets my forms wherever and back including the occasional reverse and now I am asking it to dump a dumpster once a week. For that I need a PTO, if any one knows a serial number for an original tulsa, chelsea, or any other PTO it would give me a starting point. Right side preferred. Thanks again. John
  4. Thanks all. It is a TR722. Don't know why. This is the same problem I am having with local yards, they are insisting that it is a 107. It is a single shaft, cast iron, and has 722 stamped right above the tetroid gear logo right behind and above the left side pto opening. John
  5. Looking to put a pto on my 77 MB, 237 with a TR720 5 speed. Single speed should be fine for a dump. Hoping to find original instead of going new muncie route. If anyone has part numbers, leads on purchasing and or tips to installing I would appreciate the help. Thanks and great forum. John
