  1. Thanks Vlad, To set us back in time a few hundred years, then to see new cars next to those old beautiful buildings, like Freightrain said, you don't get this perspective from any TV Documentary, or anywhere else for that matter.........Paul
  2. Yes, only on special jobs, its a 4 spindle Bridgeport Tracer Mill like this one but with 2 more heads, with chipped paint on ram and around ways behind the table.
  3. EXACTLY RIGHT SLPWLKER, I HAD A 4 SPINDLE BRIDGEPORT MILLING MACHINE BROUGHT BACK HERE FROM CT ONE TIME LIFTED ONTO THE TRUCK AND CHAINED DOWN WITH NO WOOD OR PADDING OF ANY KIND AFTER I GAVE THE GUY PADDING, WOOD AND LOT OF HEAVY RUBBER. SCREWED UP THE PAINT AND CHIPPED THE WAY EDGES. HE SAID ALL THE EXTRA THINGS WEREN'T NEEDED, LAST TIME I USED HIM.
  4. GOOD LUCK TOM
  5. VERY VERY COOL, GOOD LUCK. Also make sure you have a helper with you, you don't want to be working around that kind of weight alone.......Paul
  6. I was reserving comment that it may be time for you're rigging division to add a twin screw tractor to you're fleet or at least if you can get enough of this type of work to pay for it.
  7. Longer than trailer, I think you have all the binders and chains you need to secure it, but you have to go slower than hell, even at 5 miles an hour it will only take less than half hour to get there. See wwhat these other guys have done in same situation, but you also don't want to damage boom, especially if you put it up on the deck over the 5th wheel. Will you're trailer handle thjat weight too?
  8. Is it flat going Tommy, or uneven slopes and hills, and is it a good size where the trailer will be top heavy?
  9. HI, WERE THEY ORIGINALLY 16 GAUGE? WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER TO GO WITH 14 GAUGE? MAYBE EVEN STAINLESS?
  10. Hi, You mean just the one top section, not the angled piece next to it along the hood included? Paul
  11. Thanks Bryan, I guess that means I'm too late.
  12. Hi Bryan, Is this truck for sale?...Paul

  15. Hi Maxidyne, Thanks for the info, I think they look nice and I will make mine out of stainless steel
  16. Like how the Conforti DM has the fabricated extentions filling in the area on each side of the radiator, i think ill make some up for my B81's
  17. Hello ssgteverett, Welome to the site, took me a long time to join also as I had been out of the business for 40 years. Now I have bought my first 2 B81's like I owned back in the 60's, Again, Welcome
  18. I am pretty sure it was on Discovery, but it was on a number years back, it could have been a Boston station also, but dont think so
  19. Hello refusegetter, If I remember right, there was a Discovery Channel show done on this and I remember some 1927 Ahren Fox fire trucks and some very rare west coast Mack tractors but someone was saying part of the collection was sold off, but have never been there myself.....Paul
  20. Tommy, What is that..........Paul
  21. Yes, without 24" it wouldn't be worth the 10K
  22. I think its worth more than the 10K, these single axles are hard to find
  23. Hi Shawn, I think if you want it for a working truck, you have to compare it to what you would be paying today for a new piece of Brand X junk. Looking at it that way, then its worth it......Paul
  24. NICE TRUCK SHAWN, PERFECT FOR WHAT YOU WANT IT FOR.....PAUL
  25. Vlad, Very sorry to learn of this accident, especially this time of year............Paul
