  1. I doubt that its such a bargain by itself
  2. well its only $525.00 more
  3. I thought he bought the U 700
  4. Some guys have told me if you're a junk type of guy you can take junk to shows, they don't have to be in top notch shape.
  5. Yes farmer, that's what I suspected when it generated so much interest.
  6. Keep in mind it may never have been a deal and will show up again later.
  7. Also by the sound of it, when they changed the route (after some nut unloaded 70 rounds on the normal parade route earlier in the day), to go downhill into a right hand turn its very possible the Fire truck was not at fault because the tractor driver may have been thrown into the truck when the tractor took too sharp a turn and tipped over.
  8. After awhile after reading about the sad event, it occurred to me that there could be tighter controls on Antique vehicles as Vlad has mentioned.
  9. OK it was en route from Guantanamo Bay to St. Petersburg, FL. So you would have been unable to see it as it was on a cadet training voyage. First pic as the Segelschulschiff Horst Wessel in 1938 and second pic as the Coast Guard Barque Eagle today.
  10. You mean the Coast Guard Bark Eagle (Horst Wessel) based in New London, CT?
  11. Hi Vlad, some pics I took when I visited the Kruzenshtern when it docked in Buzzards Bay after losing half of its forward mast in a storm in the Bermuda Triangle. U see the railroad and auto bridges in one photo it could not clear to sail on to Boston. I believe it sailed back to Germany or Russia for repairs after it rounded the islands and outer Cape.
  12. Hi Jake, You make any kind of deal on the B81 winch truck? Paul
  13. So all the early pictures you posted when you're father was on a tractor were actually taken in Eastern CT.
  14. Hi mackb67, Do you have any pictures of the brackets so if they could be fabricated, Thanks, Paul
  15. Thanks other dog, It seems that we all work like eager beavers our whole lives, saving and planning for the future, whether it be private enterprise or government. Then the future comes and there is always something that intercedes with the plan, its not supposed to happen this way, it can't be. I've never seen it to fail. So the moral of the story is more steel as like Vlad says the future is here.
  16. Vlad, Words are fine, everyone gets the picture now just in case they never did. Paul
  17. You are exactly correct Vlad, makes you sit down and wonder when so many people are living their life with false security. They would go off the deep end if they ever realized it doesn't exist. And JT you are correct and once analyzed is probably the quote of the year at the very least. Paul
  18. Didn't get an answer back yet, but did you say they would fit a B81 door too?
  19. Correct Red Horse, They have no idea we are in a recession bordering on a depression so they think everybody in this country has a high paying job and are working. Plus the big thing is they have never had to meet a payroll and don't have a clue to what it's all about.
  20. Really, most of you're family still in CT?
  21. Hard to believe at the base of Windham MTN, high elevation.
  22. Remember a couple years ago, this was the flooding that occured when that hurricane hit in the Jewett, Windham Prattsville, NY area. These photos are all within a few miles of my house.
  23. Tim, Have you always lived in Vermont or did you live in CT before?
