  1. Only thing we need...yep, you guessed it...is MORE PICTURES!!!
  2. Saw this on the back of a step deck last weekend. Anybody able to identify it from this angle?
  3. I liked the old chromed steel shutoff and throttle buttons. Aren't too many of them left in service any more. Seems they've about all been replaced with the plastic knobs. I seem to recall 2 versions of the throttle knob. one was a T-handle and one was a round knob with a knurled OD, IIRC.
  4. Would be awesome to find some original vintage tach and speedometer pieces, as well as an original fuel shutoff button. But that stuff is getting hard to come by,
  5. Yep. Right under you fingers. Easy to give a little "flick-flick" without taking your hands off the wheel. I always thought the early R models achieved "dashboard perfection"!!! LOL!!!
  6. Okay, this one fits! "If you Photoshop your wife out of pictures of your truck..."
  7. There's always the "Other Truck Makes" section! Don't need a Mack to post there!
  8. There is a lot of good information out there on the interweb about proper phasing of yokes and about different ways to handle shaft angles. Like Jo-Jo said, straight in line is not a good thing. Equal angles on each end of a shaft are generally considered a good thing. I have also seen "equal and opposite" angles on each end of a shaft work. Plenty of good info out there about this. I'm sure it will all work out.
  9. Oh. If you're trying to BUY it, they're not worth squat! Offer him $7,500 and work up from there! 😂
  10. Suppose it's been swapped, or has a cutoff on the rear? I can't see the front of the carrier in the pictures to see if it's a Mack rear.
  11. Check out this interview with Barry Weitz... https://www.itsabouttv.com/2016/05/interview-movin-on-with-co-producer.html
  12. Technically, I think they had their Chauffeur's licenses, as CDLs were not a thing yet.
  13. As I remember reading about it, Claude actually took to it like a duck to a pond. Frank was from NYC and didn't even have a driver's license when they started the show. Both of them got their CDLs so they could drive the truck. They say it was easy for Claude, but it took Frank a little while to get the hang of it. That might have been from the Movin' On website, or one of the other places I have tracked down about that show. I think Mark Stracener still owns the "Real" one, having bought it from Paul Sagehorn, but things change all the time without us knowing about it.
  14. Sorry I missed your birthday, Dean. I was out of town. Hope you had a great day. I still need to get over to your place and see all the toys.
  15. "If you think "The Big Easy" is your sister-in-law..."
  16. Pretty much. Just have to put the double check valve in the right sequence so the foot brake and trolley valve work properly.
