Maybe an oil cooler? Looks like there have been some numbers superseded. Maybe if you can give these guys on here more info on what you want exactly, and the model number off the engine, someone would be able to come up with one. There are great resources on here. I saw that number listed in the verbiage on this ad, but don't know anything about what they have or don't have. Maybe you got a point there, Mech! The older color reminded me of "school bus interior green", although it was not exactly that. Just kinda felt similar. It does not help that the first truck I drove with the darker green interior was a black truck. That whole thing just felt DARK. Dark outside, dark inside. And, it was an R700, so its nose was so long that you couldn't even see the shine off the bulldog on the front. 'Course, that dog was gold...so it was darker too. V-8 Maxidyne, 6-speed "Extended Range" Maxitorque. That thing would yank your head off your shoulders. It was quite a transition from 18-speed Quadruplexes, though. Wait...wait...wait...not yet...NOW downshift. -

Yeah, the '67 I drove when the world was young, and so was I, had the lighter green. My '70 and one of the others I drove back then had the darker shade. Seemed like the lighter one was a little more glossy and slicker, and wore better. The darker one seemed to be a little more matte, and rubbed off a little faster. But, that could just be failing memory! I am having that problem more and more here lately! Regardless, I loved the layout of that old steel dash and the relative simplicity of it. Plus, no plastic panels. The needles on the tach and speedo were cool-looking, too. -

Like Bob said, most of those just had the steel door panels. I still love those all-steel cabs. Green interiors forever! -
I had a mud dauber problem on mine. Fuel was returning to the RH tank but the LH tank was almost dry. Pulled the vent off the top of the LH tank, and it was stopped up by the little critters. Cleaned the vent tube, and voila! Air could escape the tank and the fuel could get in. Hateful little bastards...

That B73 front end sure looks impressive. I mean, the B61 is super clean, but the B73 just looks like a hoss...which it is! Can't wait to see this thing together. -

There are no words to describe that interior. It is absolutely gorgeous. -
VIN number on the frame will look something like this. Again, behind RF tire, ahead of the cab. VIN number plate in the door may or may not match!

Look for numbers stamped anywhere around here. Usually had something like "T 673 C". LOOKS more like an ENDT-673 or ENDT-673C. But, I BELIEVE some of the earliest 675's may have had that cartridge-type "oil clarifier" instead of the spin-on filters. Like they said, VIN number will give a clue as to the original engine. Best place to get the VIN is actually on the RH frame rail, just behind the front shock mount...just barely out of view in your picture.

I'm actually "CDO". It's just like "OCD", except that the letters are in alphabetical order, like they are supposed to be. -
If I get a chance to go back down there, I will try to get more information about the truck. Maybe some more pictures, too. It is in a working mulch yard, and they are fairly busy at times. So, I don't want to interfere with them working to look around. Vlad, every Duplex I ever saw had the compound stick on the right. MOST of the Triplex and Quadruplexe boxes I saw had the compound on the left. When he said the compound on this one only had 2 positions, not the 4 on the shift plate, my first thought was that someone may have changed out the box at some time. But, again, if I can get up under it, I might could tell more about it.

I have seen a few with the compound on the right stick. Never paid much attention to them. All the ones I drove had the compound on the left side, and were all double-overdrive 18-speeds. Again, I was not paying enough attention!

I should have checked the VIN. But, he had 2 other Bs and an R there that I was drooling over...

I really think it was probably re-powered. Did not look at it that closely. But, the cab was way more solid than most I have seen. Definitely worth a look if anybody is interested.

Not mine. No association with it. Found this for sale in Morganton, NC. Supposedly has a Cummins engine in it. Shift plate looked like the "reverse quad", with the compound on the right. But, the man said either the box was changed or there was something wonky with the compound (only goes into 2 positions). Cab looks pretty darned solid. I think he was saying something around $7,500. Chrome plating can cause hydrogen embrittlement. I believe there is another "baking" step that can be taken after plating which mitigates some of the effects. But, it has to be done at a certain temp and within a certain timeframe after plating. If plating is done and the baking process done correctly, there should be no problems. But, if the baking process is skipped or done improperly, you get a brittle part. That is probably why it is frowned upon in certain circles. There is lots of information out there you can search on the matter.
