Drove the owners late model Acura SUV to Indiana last week, It has that accident avoidance crap. The cruise constantly kicks off if you get without 200+ ft of another vehicle on the highway. Ugh, makes it hard to pass someone when the car slows itself down. Ugh. Then there is the automated braking crap. Ya, collision avoidance crap again. If you don't get on the brakes soon enough FOR IT, then it applies them for you. Ugh. Really. I can drive myself!!!! At lunch, I tend to go to Lake Anna(center of town) and eat lunch and watch the people, ducks and whatever. There is parking along 2 sides of the lake(big pond). The funny thing to see is how many people CAN NOT parallel park. At all!!! Period. If they can't pull in and stop, then can't get in a spot. So many try to pull their nose in first then try to jack the back end into the spot. Not happening(duh). They usually leave and find a spot then can pull into(2-3 open spaces). Kinda like going to a boat ramp for entertainment purposes. Of course, in Barberton, the financial area does not support many new cars, usually 10-15 yr old clunkers. Have not seen one that had park assist. My g/f will atest that she is horrible at parking any direction. She freaks when I whip into a spot, especially backwards. Can parallel park my pickup in the dark in a spot barely long enough for the truck and not hit anything. She just shakes her head. Her new Jeep is very noticeable, the right side tires are all chewed up from "finding" the curb when she parks.

I was curious about oil filter adapter plate or lines. Is the bottom end knocking?

Getting close to that "new" R model that was for sale a few years back. Didn't they want $80K for it? Basically zero miles on it. Don't recall what ever happened to it?

Have a friend, very Ford oriented like me, that leased a new Dodge because it was more affordable then any Ford F150 he could find. Sad. My last new truck, 2000 F350 XLT, crewcab, dually, 7.3/6 spd was far less then ANY new F150 today. I think the sticker was like $30K? With "A" plan it was $24K. My current transportation is a very clean and completely rust free 1989 F150 I found at a local lot. Cost me $3200. Had it 5 yrs now. Hope to get another 5+ yrs as long as no one wipes it out like the last one I had. Never see a new vehicle in my future, ever again.

I'm guessing this is not the same F model they dug out a couple years ago?

He went from retiring to work more?? Wunerfool!!! Need to pull his chain and see what's up. Last spoke maybe a year ago when he was working on the B model project.

I know the fellow in the white 62 KW and the Diamond T beside it. I heard this story last year: Few years back, while going to a show, a strap broke on the DT. He only has two on it(not good). So it worked loose and broke the other strap. It then banged its way out of the trailer(32ft enclosed gooseneck-race trailer like mine) and fell out on the road!! Luckily he had just pulled away from a light and the DT rolled to a stop and passerbyers came to his aide. Luckily very minimal damage to the truck. Had to get the rear door fixed up on the trailer. I would never haul anything with just two ratchet straps. My race car has four on it all the time. 20 yrs without any problems(even after I jackknifed it going to York).

I just cringed as I watched the news this morning and watched as Obummer spouted this crap. Ugh.

I always give the ol B a smack on the fender and a "thanks for getting me home" after every trip. Your boy looks like my g/f BEFORE i put the bunk on. She would bobble along in that seat trying to sleep. Now she can just lay down(and get shook to death LOL).

Well, got one tree down pretty easy. The next one needs some persuasion to not land on the garage...ie: rope and a truck. Sounds like a neat hot rod. Does the radiator needs soldered? LOL!!!

They are hooked together so if one doesn't work then the linkage is broken. Mine have always worked but until I put a new supply line to the valve now they will throw the blades off they go so fast. The original line was collapsed and limited the air volume. Usually something simple. I also pulled air motor off and cleaned the sludge out from the last 50 years. Basic maintenance is all that is needed.

It's been 25 yrs ago, but there used to be "cruising" at the local city park. About a mile of road and lots of parking. We young'uns would cruise/park and hang out for the day. The police started issuing tickets for backing in. It used to be a big shuffle every time someone saw a cop turn into the park road. Ohio has plates on both ends, but ya, you can only see the renewal sticker on the back. Money hungry is all that is.

My girl don't like pics taken when she is bundled up in three layers of winter coats with a hat on. I'd NEVER get her spread out across the hood with a tank top on LOL!!! As the saying goes....."for my eyes only".

We talking dump truck? Or just tractor? As a tractor, I don't think it would be as light as 13K. My B model is 12K+ . 18K sounds a touch heavy, so I'm somewhere in the middle at 14-15Klbs.

Transmitting power across a wider surface area(more cluster gears) is the reason for double/triple countershafts. If you can make the box longer and use wider gears(surface area), then the same basic function is accomplished. I don't think it is the shaft size persay that is the weak link. Just the capabilities of the gears to transmit the power and survive without breaking.

Welcome tuffguy. Ya, I'm just 3 blocks north of Kames. You might see my B model running around town pulling my race trailer. I used to live over off Aspen and Middlebranch years back. That swiss style housing allotment on the east side.

Hi Mark. Was just thinking of you the other day. I was looking at a couple trees I am planning on chopping down and wondered where I could come up with a bucket truck LOL!!!!

The motor/trans is worth that. Wish it was closer to me. Not that I have time/room for another project.
