  2. If you have seen the new Ford commercial, it has a mother in a new Ford with her young son behind the wheel driving in circles around a parking lot. Then towards the end he is "parallel parking'> Ya, except they use the park assist. Meaning NO KID will every actually have any kind driving ability in a few more years. They will have to park out in the middle of a parking lot so they can pull in/pull out because they can't drive for shit. No one will every actually turn their head to LOOK behind them because they will rely on cameras and warning buzzers to tell them if it is safe> Ugh. Just makes me sick. I have to laugh about the giving directions while in a truck. If you can't see ME(my face) or my mirror, then I can't see YOU while you are waving your arms.
  3. Shoot Hank, you went right by my work. I'm in Barbertucky...ummm.......Barberton, right off Rt 585 and 21. Yup, go by the old steel plant property on a regular occasion anymore going to Navarre to work on the ol Willys hot rod. My clutch guy used to have a unit like this: He finally traded the old Aerodyne in for a T2000 just a few years ago. Only got to see it sitting in his shop a few times when I was there, he put about a million miles on it through the years. Wished I coulda bought the truck from him. Always well kept. On cassette?? But I only have an 8 track...........what will I do?????? Maybe if I get lucky they offer it on reel to reel??? I can dig out my old wollensak..........
  4. We have a local racer that dabbles in golf carts. He has some wheelie versions that he uses for shows.
  5. Sorry to hear Paul. Hope it works out okay.
  6. Ya, I think the concave cab will be a hard sell. Even my skinny butt feels squished sometimes in my regular cab.
  7. Hmmmm, I see good things in the future...........................
  8. I think I'm understanding this "female" friendly stuff. I think they are going to put the guage a little higher in the dash for easier viewing for some girls??
  9. All I can say is...............Wow! grayhair, thanks for the link. I really like this pattern. Might think about this for replacing the back panels on my bunk? Give it a more old school look. Maybe I don't want to know how much it is per sheet LOL!
  10. I'm betting back in the day, they used plenty of "Universal" kind of parts. Many manufacturers would buy a typical part from a single supplier. Kinda like those Grote lights on the roof. Same ones on the fender of an A model KW. I had a '72 1210 series pickup. 2wd, 345/4 spd. All I can say is "it was a tank". Rusty, used up piece of junk, but still a tank. Pass everything but a gas station. Lucky gas was only ..50/gal back then.
  11. Nice. A friend I race with had a FL120 few years back. 430 Cat/10 SPD autoshift with same basic conversion. It was a nice outfit. He downsized after a few years and sold it again. I'm sure you will get years of use out of it.
  12. Well as of today the air steering is functional! Pretty happy with it. Few loose hoses to tie up but all is well. I have the a/c bracket painted and installed. The hoses are all cut to length and I will get those crimped. Only have to get a few wires run to make it work. We're getting closer.
  13. Ahhhh, I see. I have a friend that even after I crank it up tight, doesn't hold him up very well. I usually just get a smirk from him.
  14. I have a brand new Talladega seat, but it is too tall for a B. It does have the tall mount and thought of cutting it down or finding a low mount for it? Just don't think there is room for the arm rests and such. I don't think my Tbar seat is all that uncomfortable? Even when the truck was short and had springs on the back. I have it set just right I guess?
  15. I remember it from Syracuse Nationals, don't remember if it made South Bend? I agree mike, a little bit of frame and a Mercury would be super cool, classic piece.
  16. Welcome. Brocky has it covered. Give us a bit more backround and we'll try to point you in the right direction.
  17. I know they offer an R cab, is your friend going to make a B cab? That would be sweet. I would almost put the money out for that(I know they aren't cheap). I could just about make my truck then as the typical KH bunk is large and would mimic mine pretty well. Just have to remove one of the tandems(Or buy another chassis and start over?).
  18. Here ya go: On the firewall, passenger side: The soft line goes to unloader on compressor. I originally pulled mine off and put a couple new o-rings on it. Seemed like it would be fine. Nope, a few weeks later the same issue. Just put a new one on it. Any big truck place will have one. I got mine at Cross truck parts.
  19. These guys are NUTZ!! They do cars, van, buses. It is a free for all. Hit or be hit. Full throttle, go for broke. I found this the other day while on my Smart TV and it now brings more up on my channel to watch. cars: How no one gets killed is beyond me? Reminds me of Days of Thunder when Cruise gets told to go hit the pace car. He askes "Why". Cause you've hit everything else!!!
  20. I was thinking along the same lines. Should be plenty of available air under the bunk to be able to be pushed down by the fan. If not, I'll get a BIGGER fan!! I spent yesterday building brackets to hang the additional air tank for the steering. Got some air lines run. Can't say I got real far, but little steps at a time. If I had enough brass fittings laying around I could go farther. Never seem to have the right ones. Every Saturday I walk into Cross Truck with a list a mile long.
  21. Luckily you only need the clutch to start out with. Just jam'm when you find'm after that. LOL!! On a side note: Was there something special going on yesterday? I was in the garage being productive and didn't watch any TV>
  22. Fellow on ATHS that is restoring a K100. The debate was going on about what is better. Even to the fact I mentioned building a special "faux" oil cap and fill it with oil to simulate ail bearing(so it looks period correct) even though it is grease packed. Again, it was a hobby truck and the thought was the oil seal might fail from lack of use.
