  1. Ya, if I use IE at home, I can't do anything here, even sign in. Nadda, nothin. Here, try this instead: buwhahahahahahaha.............
  2. Ya, back when Stan first got the truck done, he had it at Lakeside Sand/Gravel get together. He told me to rev'r up and make some smoke and noise while he taped it. I told him I wanted to drive it. He said, sure, but why not wait til you can get it out on the big road. Well, about 10 yrs later..........I'm still waiting LOL!! When the chance came to drive it across the lot........I was ON IT.
  3. (hmm, guessing you need to put a Detriot in that computer so it can keep up?))
  4. This is Tom Sampson. He's local to me. Well, shoot, that is my truck next to his. Must be from Lakeside Sand and Gravel show every spring. Like the pictures I put above.
  5. That would be Stan Leman. He has Gravy train, an R6xx, 2 superliners(one I just posted a video of) and the CH E9. All very, very nice trucks. Stan has not been real active in our chapter the last year or so(I haven't either for that matter). Here is the V8 Super: His blue daily driver is sticking out the left side of the picture. The CH:
  6. Now that you mention Clint, I can see the resemblence, especially the hair like Jim says. I like Yardo's comment better
  7. This was taken a few years back, after the Piston Power show at the Cleveland IX Center. This is Stan Leman's Superliner that I posted years back. It was Sunday night and I quickly volunteered to handle driving it out and parking it with his B model. Sure wished I could have taken it out for a much longer "drive". Just as I got to the door, I grabbed my cellphone and held it to my chest. I was just trying to cut through the parking lot, but it was so jumbled up with cars it wasn't working out too well. Evidence.........valuable evidence, that's gunno convict a maniac...........
  8. Nice trucks, nice shop!!!!
  9. Those three don't look right, at least for what is on my B.
  10. Improvise............. Just something I threw together to get the gearset changed in my B. Engine crane and a receiver hitch with a couple straps= instant mobile crane.
  11. Mine let got at the top of second gear, 6000 rpm. Bang. Actually never made a mess on the track, all the pieces had stayed attached enough. Did get a few pieces handed to me by spectators though.
  12. I would assume rotation was all the same, no matter. Unless it would be mounted behind the flywheel, it should always turn the same way on any motor.
  13. I suppose it had a very large water tank, thus the tandems? Meant for going out far in the woods where water might not be available at the time? Thanks Paul for digging into this. Great to see the history of such a unique piece of equipment. I've always wondered the reason for no roof. I suppose that is a valid point on accessing the situation as you drive up. I bet any rain/snow made it difficult no matter what!
  14. Yup, ventilated. I like to call it "Viscosity Breakdown". That is from an oil commercial years back. I refer back to my famous picture from 2000 Dang, sure was LOTS younger back then.....................
  15. If the switch is getting hot, then I would either replace with a BIGGER switch that can carry the current better or use a relay that is controlled by the switch. Much safer. After the lights go out, what does it take to make them go back on? Do they do it automatically? Then likely there is a circuit breaker that is tripping. If you have to wiggle wires, then it is a connection.
  16. How about this: http://www.cdldigest.com/pre_trip_inspection/brake_check.html
  17. It's not too bad, for the money. Few things I would change.
  18. Nice truck! I'd agree, keep it stock and enjoy it. Though it is always the mindset of "want more"...........I don't think it is moneywise to mess with it unless you can afford to fix it.
  19. Recessed tie downs. Put them where you need them. Flush with floor, just like what is in my race trailer. It shouldn't take much to keep that "goof" cart from moving around.
  20. Hope to see it this summer. Will it be coming to Ashland show?
  21. That rare turbo 500 transmission!! And excel coils!
  22. When I first went to pull my 40ft trailer with my B, I used a typical pickup brake controller as I had already switched to NEG ground. I quickly HATED it. The old pendulum style would not work right due to the rough ride. The newer electronic versions were a PITA due to they just ramp up to full power over a certain time period and do not work well going down a long grade. I switched over to a air over electric model and it works PERFECT. Tap into your brake pedal air and it then works proportional to your brake activation. You literally wouldn't have to switch over to NEG ground,as the brake magnets would not care what direction the current flowed. No electronics to worry about either. Unless you had LED tail lights in the trailer. This is what I bought...NOT cheap. https://www.etrailer.com/Brake-Controller/Warner/1300-80.html This one is a bit cheaper: http://www.brakecontroller.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=29
  23. Got to give credit to John "Johnboy" Ulman, the photog. for our racing group. Oh, I also put my name and my g/f names up above the door handles, behind the mirror bracket in that little flat space there. A few years back, a racers g/f made some comment about not having her name on the car. So, a couple winters back, I took my name off the passenger window and put Karens name. She was tickled to see it. Then that certain racers g/f saw it and told Karen that she was lucky cause her b/f would likely never do that for "her". Yes, girls like to have a little recognition too. I'm lucky, as Karen is VERY supportive and there are lots of women that would have nothing to do with it.
  24. Lucky for me a good photog can make any rusty hulk look good! I have the original version also. I like the pastel version better so I ordered an 8x10 to hang on the wall. The sunset orange just set it off. This is the full size version, before I downsized it for my sig. Harry, hope to be there.
