  1. Ken, it's a "whateveryacallit" brand, so it don't have an emblem. I did buy a billet alum KW grille for it(not shown in pic) so at least it looks more the part of a KW now. If I could get a B model cab done for it I'd be up for it. Or maybe the R/Superliner?
  2. Welcome to the forums. Can't give you any insight personally, but there are guys here that can give you some ideas.
  3. Keeping my fingers crossed Tom. Hope things work out in your favor.
  4. SWEET looking R. It's nearly roadworthy, just need to buy a new receiver battery pack. Only been tinkering with it for about 8 yrs now? Had it for 18 yrs?
  5. I have heat in my garage(detached) and keep it 40* minimum. My bad time is spring/fall and the moisture is crazy. I put a ventilation fan in the wall with a humidity control on it. Helped A LOT!! I tape it closed for the winter, but that thing will run 24/7 come march/april. First summer here(10 yrs ago) everything rusted to pieces til I got the fan put in.
  6. Yup, the little red arrow points to me, in the blue coat. Smallest kid up through high school. Then when I graduated I sprouted up.
  7. Good to hear you got it figured out.
  8. No, not yet. Just another "project" that floats in my mind. Sure the china models are cheap, Parker or such will be much more expensive. Depends on how long you want it to last.
  9. I have those DVD of Movin on, and one of them has the hood open and it's a V8 Cat. I still remember Tuesday nights watching the show. In '76 I got to ride in this: and it was all downhill after that. I was HOOKED on trucks. Don't recall what power it had, but do remember the twin pearl handles and the wig wag! I remember the Movin' On truck being on Ebay about 10 yrs ago? It was out midwest somewhere(before Paul bought it). I wanted it real bad! I do have the Galoob r/c Movin On truck. Got it for xmas way back when. Still have it to this day: Not green anymore, I did lots of modifications through the years.
  10. Rusty, Rob parted ways here last year. Got busy and just decided to pull up stakes. I've spoke with him a few times, emailed a few times. He stays pretty busy with a garage full of Mack projects. The last pics I got were of the rear suspension going together on the back of his B model. He was wanting to retire from his guberment job, not sure if that has taken place yet. BMT is pretty much the most laid back, "self moderated" type site around. Don't get the trouble makers that many other sites get. We do have our moments, but usually are short and forgotten. We are mostly "grown" people that are smart enough to not make an azz of ourselves for everyone to see. We might do stupid things, but don't go sling'n mud around. I am part of many other sites, each pertaining to something different I am involved in. Most are nice and clean like here. Yes, Yellowbullet is a freeforall. You can get some good technical advice if you keep the idiots out of your post.
  11. I thought about installing an electric solenoid hooked to the ignition switch that way the wipers have air with the key. Then when the truck is off it keeps from bleeding the air off so fast(like mine does now). I only get an hour or so before it kills all my air. When I put a new o-ring in the dash control it lasted a day.
  12. Hope you and your family gets well soon. Had a few friends go through this, starts with one and works through the whole family.
  13. Little faded, but looks like a pretty solid shorty U model.
  14. Welcome to the site. PIcs...............we like PICTURES!!!!!
  15. I'm the odd man out. My air wipers work great. Pulled the motor out, cleaned all the 50yr old sludge out of it and some new lines and it will literally try to throw the blades off the arms they run so fast. I did have to clean out the valving in the end that reverses the motor. I doubt the air is suppose to hold the wipers up. I remember my buddies COE and after hitting a bad bump having to flip the wiper switch to get them back up again. Try here: http://www.marinepartsunlimited.com/index.htm?trico-folberth.html Art used to be on here, I know he is on other boards that I frequent. He knows his stuff about air wipers.
  16. That's the problem...I will likely hardly notice the power increase? It will never be "enough". I used to have my pump turned up. It would RUN. Only problem it got like 4 mpg. I turned it back down and it gets 7-8 pulling my trailer with a nice light haze from the pipes.
  17. I think my old 673 runs pretty well for a 55 yr old motor. Ya, it could use a few more ponies, but it is pretty reliable and gets 8-9 mpg. If I thought I could bolt a turbo on it and not really hurt it, I might. Turn the fuel up a few notches too. Just don't like the fact I don't have oil cooled pistons. I always wanted to drive a 250hp version to see what it is really like with a load. My N/A version runs good bobtail, so that is not much of an issue.

    WHY?

I gave up my dish 2.5 yrs ago. Best thing I did. Got tired of paying for CHIT! I miss some shows(like my old Law & Order) and a few others, but I still get This old House on PBS so I'm good. Now I watch old reruns of Rockfords files, Hogans Heroes and Emergency, Cannon, Streets of San Fransico on antenna. Good ol 70's TV shows. I turned off my land line at the same time so NO harassing phone calls from Dish Network trying to get me back. Got lots of mail for awhile, but even that went away.
  19. Kinda figured, but wondered if it was old enough to maybe have a ENDTC 250 motor? It is still 1300+ miles too far away LOL!!
  20. Yup, those that really want to help, never expect anything in return. Their payment is the feeling they get inside.
  21. The rear wall of the cab has the extra 3" sticking out. Gives you more leg room. I'm sure someone else can give you the years it started.
  22. Wonder what motor?
  23. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRUCK-TRUCKTOR-1974-MACK-DIESEL-18-WHEELER-/201012496467?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ecd474853
  24. Nice. There is another video from here in the states with some crazy guys jumping a Freightliner?
  25. Welcome aboard.
