  1. I've liked them too, but never really looked to see who made them or if someone just chromed what they had. I'd keep my spokes if I walked into a set cheap enough? If you can buy them new for $250, that seems pretty cheap. To get a good, professional quality chrome job I bet it would be more then that. Plus have a nice enough piece to chrome(not beat up, bent or chiseled on).
  2. I've noticed that the 4 people that used to have my videos on Youtube have been falling off. Guess I need to finally download them myself??
  3. Yup, that be me. First time I tried to get the article it crashed out. Finally got it to load so I could read it. They could have linked the two handed version also? More fitting to go with their pictures.
  4. LOL!! My g/f was complaining the other night about the young miss that served us at the local watering hole up the street from home. Kinda chesty and a tank top and she made the comment that she should "cover up some". I told her that was for making "tips". She agreed. She is easy going and the same basic format: Look all you want, just DON'T touch.
  5. Samo samo here. Fixing broken crap at work, running in circles like a one armed paper hanger.
  6. Ya, someone posted that up a few weeks ago. Nice looking truck for sure.
  7. Pretty cool stuff. Shame to see them turn into Hyundis...........
  8. Wow...don't think I drove my triplex that rough the first year I had my truck. A 13 spd should shift like an automatic. Saw the V8 badge and wondered if they put an 871 in it...but guess not. At least that would have been "v8" proper. I bet the dash tooling is just reversed for the RH steer. The dash and glovebox is likely the same no matter.
  9. Happy Birthday!!! Wow...25 huh.........................whew................party hardy now cause you won't be able to sooner then you think LOL!!!
  10. Ugh...I could just go on and on and on and on and on.....................and basically just repeat most any story that has been told already. They need to get back to making Model T's..........so that only real people can drive. All this automated crap(park assist, brake assist, back up cameras) is for the birds. I ride a HD, so I know all about taking my life into my hands everyday. "Responsibility"...........is removed every day from our lifes. It is always "someone elses fault" when we fail to do anything right. Driving is falling into that category.
  11. First thing I bought after the truck was 3/4 socket set. Now a 3/4 impact. Nothing too tight now.
  12. How cool is that? V8 Macks, Scenic cruisers AND trains?? Thanks for sharing it all.
  13. Just watched something on PBS last night. Kind a knock off of Discovery channel. They showed how they take raw materials and make something> last night was a similar dump to what you hauled.
  14. Ahhh, my next best F series truck. I like my ol bumps, but when I bought my first NEW '96 F350 I was hooked. 460 automatic, loaded XLT. I put a Vortech supercharger on it just after this picture(pulling my brand new 40ft Haulmark trailer). Here I'm at the track running the ol dually. Ran 15.8's which back then was nip'n the heels of the first gen Lightnings(which usually ran low 15's): I traded this truck for a '99 V10 crew cab 5 spd. I did buy another '95 F150 about 5 yrs ago for daily driver. 302/automatic It only had about 80K miles and was like a shiny new penny. Man do I miss this truck. Less then 8 months later: TOTALLED ( I put the sign on it to let the neighbors know it was not my fault) Always wanted a nice long bed, std cab, 4x4 F150, 302/5spd with about 31" tires? Just sit'n up "Nice". My lastest daily driver is my '89. Not my favorite bodystyle, but it is so clean I couldn't pass it up. 302/automatic, had 70K miles. You could eat off the framerails when I bought it. Not as much as a scratch of rust anywhere on it. I oil spray it constantly now to make sure it hangs around. Been 4 yrs now? Ready to turn 150K miles.
  15. WHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! What it would be like to be 21 again.
  16. YOU are the only person that has to be happy with what you paid for something. No one else. Other peoples opinions are dime a dozen. Most everyone wants to make a buck or two. Sometimes I feel it easier to just donate/give away some stuff just to make it easier then dealing with a "potential buyer".
  17. That big 7" will drone like a mad man and you'll be wearing ear plugs to survive the day. Even my lil 673 was unbearable with a 5" pipe. The 4" has a nice bark without the drone of the big pipe. grand rock sells reducers: http://www.grpipes.com/catalogpages/Reducers.pdf
  18. In typical fashion, the seller wants to make a "good" buck on the item if they are selling it to a collector, but then scrap price is good enough if they don't get anyone interested. Sounds like a typical Epay auction. "If no one buys it for the inflated "I want MUCHO GRANDE" for it, then I'll take a few bucks from the scrappers.
  19. Sad when they sit and no one whats it...til one person shows up and realizes it's too late. That ladder truck is cool, but what would you do with it? I remember building a similar model to that growing up. Ahhh, if we all had deep pockets LOL!!
  20. Good looking truck! Thanks for sharing the pics.
  21. The two way power stuff will be easier in the long run. Nice to not have to run power to keep stuff cold or heat your water for a quick wash/shower. My 20# bottle last all summer easily with what I run. Having to run a genset the whole time to keep the frig cold will get old and will likely cost more in the long run. I don't have a full size frig, only 1/2 size which is plenty big for weekends. A 3K honda is $2000, so balance the books and see. My old 4K Onan only cost me $500. Stop over and check it out.
  22. They didn't offer an automatic behind the mack engine?
