  1. I've had issues with attaching pictures from home. Brings up the window to paste the link, then just locks up. Seems okay at work? Guess I need to surf the web at work more often LOL!!
  2. My rear air ride came with a 5/8" plate for pintle hitch, fully welded. Though it does not have the tapered ends like a typical tractor does. When I was done, I cut a hole for a receiver hitch and then put triangle gussets on the inside to support it. I then welded hanging D rings under the bottom for chains.
  3. Looks like you had "viscosity breakdown"? Sounds like me usually, it can be a PITA, but at least it all worked out good in the end.
  4. That big Ford was kicking butt. The that R model International and the old Fleetstar!!
  5. The Rockford show, he is driving a VEGA...go figure he can't outrun the Mack LOL!! Of course the Mack sounds just like the soundtrack from Duel.
  6. Mac trailers, right out there on State Street/Rt 62. Go by it every time I go over to Quakercity raceway in Salem, Ohio. Yup, GMC, "professional grade" at work right there.............
  7. Friend has a '68 D100 since the late 70's. We hauled a lot of stuff in that truck and the cabs are pretty roomy(Or maybe I was just really small back then?). Had a slant Tic and 3spd on the column. Hydraulic clutch that gave him nothing but fits for years.
  8. Back of the cab looks good? I can see the bolts in the center where the mount is. Floor likely non existant with windows open for 10 yrs. Man, I want some budd hubs for mine! Shoulda told him for $7K they have to have paint AND run.
  9. Come on,if Macgyver can weld a connecting rod together with a couple quarters and a set of jumper cables.................... If I recall he was fixing a generator that was "rattl'n". He said, rod must be broke. He tears it apart, welds it and fires it back up and it just purrs. Of it the A team can have a shoot out with machine guns and NO ONE gets hit?............
  10. Welcome aboard. Nice looking B!
  11. I remember one episode that they took the fuel soleniod so it wouldn't start. That is when they showed it being a V8. It was "stowaway", where he delivered to a prison and a convict got in his truck to escape. Another one was when they got hooked up with some bad guys robbing a little store. They were broke down?
  12. Nice work Trent. Looks impressive. Just wish I didn't have so many over "money pits" so I could do more with mine. I have a couple flat bed trailers(homebuilt) that never got finished. I've seen the realistic air ride kits and would really like to build a spread axle for mine(that was my intent about 8 yrs ago when I stretched the truck.. Oh the possibilities...... From about 1996? The original build: About a year later I bought the trailer: You familiar with Joes truck stop in NJ? He does a lot of builds. He built an R and a sleeper cab B years back. He used to post on an RC forum I used to frequent.
  13. You guys do some really nice work! If I ever had the chance to own a sidwinder truck like that, I swear I would make a kickstand for it mounted to the drivers tank. When getting out, I would reach down and kick the stand down LOL!! I think that would be a riot.
  14. Ken, it's a "whateveryacallit" brand, so it don't have an emblem. I did buy a billet alum KW grille for it(not shown in pic) so at least it looks more the part of a KW now. If I could get a B model cab done for it I'd be up for it. Or maybe the R/Superliner?
  15. Welcome to the forums. Can't give you any insight personally, but there are guys here that can give you some ideas.
  16. Keeping my fingers crossed Tom. Hope things work out in your favor.
  17. SWEET looking R. It's nearly roadworthy, just need to buy a new receiver battery pack. Only been tinkering with it for about 8 yrs now? Had it for 18 yrs?
  18. I have heat in my garage(detached) and keep it 40* minimum. My bad time is spring/fall and the moisture is crazy. I put a ventilation fan in the wall with a humidity control on it. Helped A LOT!! I tape it closed for the winter, but that thing will run 24/7 come march/april. First summer here(10 yrs ago) everything rusted to pieces til I got the fan put in.
  19. Yup, the little red arrow points to me, in the blue coat. Smallest kid up through high school. Then when I graduated I sprouted up.
  20. Good to hear you got it figured out.
  21. No, not yet. Just another "project" that floats in my mind. Sure the china models are cheap, Parker or such will be much more expensive. Depends on how long you want it to last.
  22. I have those DVD of Movin on, and one of them has the hood open and it's a V8 Cat. I still remember Tuesday nights watching the show. In '76 I got to ride in this: and it was all downhill after that. I was HOOKED on trucks. Don't recall what power it had, but do remember the twin pearl handles and the wig wag! I remember the Movin' On truck being on Ebay about 10 yrs ago? It was out midwest somewhere(before Paul bought it). I wanted it real bad! I do have the Galoob r/c Movin On truck. Got it for xmas way back when. Still have it to this day: Not green anymore, I did lots of modifications through the years.
  23. Rusty, Rob parted ways here last year. Got busy and just decided to pull up stakes. I've spoke with him a few times, emailed a few times. He stays pretty busy with a garage full of Mack projects. The last pics I got were of the rear suspension going together on the back of his B model. He was wanting to retire from his guberment job, not sure if that has taken place yet. BMT is pretty much the most laid back, "self moderated" type site around. Don't get the trouble makers that many other sites get. We do have our moments, but usually are short and forgotten. We are mostly "grown" people that are smart enough to not make an azz of ourselves for everyone to see. We might do stupid things, but don't go sling'n mud around. I am part of many other sites, each pertaining to something different I am involved in. Most are nice and clean like here. Yes, Yellowbullet is a freeforall. You can get some good technical advice if you keep the idiots out of your post.
  24. I thought about installing an electric solenoid hooked to the ignition switch that way the wipers have air with the key. Then when the truck is off it keeps from bleeding the air off so fast(like mine does now). I only get an hour or so before it kills all my air. When I put a new o-ring in the dash control it lasted a day.
  25. Hope you and your family gets well soon. Had a few friends go through this, starts with one and works through the whole family.
