  1. First thing I bought after the truck was 3/4 socket set. Now a 3/4 impact. Nothing too tight now.
  2. How cool is that? V8 Macks, Scenic cruisers AND trains?? Thanks for sharing it all.
  3. Just watched something on PBS last night. Kind a knock off of Discovery channel. They showed how they take raw materials and make something> last night was a similar dump to what you hauled.
  4. Ahhh, my next best F series truck. I like my ol bumps, but when I bought my first NEW '96 F350 I was hooked. 460 automatic, loaded XLT. I put a Vortech supercharger on it just after this picture(pulling my brand new 40ft Haulmark trailer). Here I'm at the track running the ol dually. Ran 15.8's which back then was nip'n the heels of the first gen Lightnings(which usually ran low 15's): I traded this truck for a '99 V10 crew cab 5 spd. I did buy another '95 F150 about 5 yrs ago for daily driver. 302/automatic It only had about 80K miles and was like a shiny new penny. Man do I miss this truck. Less then 8 months later: TOTALLED ( I put the sign on it to let the neighbors know it was not my fault) Always wanted a nice long bed, std cab, 4x4 F150, 302/5spd with about 31" tires? Just sit'n up "Nice". My lastest daily driver is my '89. Not my favorite bodystyle, but it is so clean I couldn't pass it up. 302/automatic, had 70K miles. You could eat off the framerails when I bought it. Not as much as a scratch of rust anywhere on it. I oil spray it constantly now to make sure it hangs around. Been 4 yrs now? Ready to turn 150K miles.
  5. WHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! What it would be like to be 21 again.
  6. YOU are the only person that has to be happy with what you paid for something. No one else. Other peoples opinions are dime a dozen. Most everyone wants to make a buck or two. Sometimes I feel it easier to just donate/give away some stuff just to make it easier then dealing with a "potential buyer".
  7. That big 7" will drone like a mad man and you'll be wearing ear plugs to survive the day. Even my lil 673 was unbearable with a 5" pipe. The 4" has a nice bark without the drone of the big pipe. grand rock sells reducers: http://www.grpipes.com/catalogpages/Reducers.pdf
  8. In typical fashion, the seller wants to make a "good" buck on the item if they are selling it to a collector, but then scrap price is good enough if they don't get anyone interested. Sounds like a typical Epay auction. "If no one buys it for the inflated "I want MUCHO GRANDE" for it, then I'll take a few bucks from the scrappers.
  9. Sad when they sit and no one whats it...til one person shows up and realizes it's too late. That ladder truck is cool, but what would you do with it? I remember building a similar model to that growing up. Ahhh, if we all had deep pockets LOL!!
  10. Good looking truck! Thanks for sharing the pics.
  11. The two way power stuff will be easier in the long run. Nice to not have to run power to keep stuff cold or heat your water for a quick wash/shower. My 20# bottle last all summer easily with what I run. Having to run a genset the whole time to keep the frig cold will get old and will likely cost more in the long run. I don't have a full size frig, only 1/2 size which is plenty big for weekends. A 3K honda is $2000, so balance the books and see. My old 4K Onan only cost me $500. Stop over and check it out.
  12. They didn't offer an automatic behind the mack engine?
  13. New definition of "air shocks"??
  14. All fuel trucks are set up with front exhaust. Guess they worry about heat and sparks.
  15. Toterhome!!! Be really gutless with that 3208 though(and the automatic). Have to upgrade the power.
  16. Look'n brand spank'n new!!! Nice work. (just watch for Ken..........with ALL them sideways pictures he may pop a blood vessel)
  17. Neat lil tractor. Must have something big under the hood? I see lots of little pusher fans in front of the radiator. Plus the added cooling hole in the top of the bumper. I like the interior layout with the console and the flamed door panels. Like the frenched in lights in the rear frame too!
  18. Those APU are nice, but kinda spendy from what I have seen. Used ones might not be so great either due to mechanical costs to fix them when they break. I suppose if you walked into a good deal, I wouldn't say no. I have no first hand use of one, but just from reading on the forums.
  19. I took one of those Lowes educational wiring seminars and I is an electrician now.
  20. Just a little pic of the wiring in my trailer..............just to get you started. Just hook power to the blue wire with red tracer.................... Buwhahahahahahahahaha
  21. Shouldn't the "L" mean lightweight components. Brackets and such even if not alum. frame.
  22. "BFH" works every time
  23. Wow...bet those would light your world up. My current Halogens are still candles at night, especially in the rain. The high beams are super bright, but the low beams are just slightly above 6v sealed beams. If it wasn't for my Perlux, I would be driving blind. Currently don't have $1K for a pair of headlights.
  24. Ya everyone knows me when I show up. Lots of attention on the highway too. Will never be as comfy as my dually but it is getting there.
