  1. Just plead ignorance and get back on the road......lol.
  2. Look at all the kickstand Macks with 3208s in them. Is there titles with these vehicles?
  3. Randy, I think you are holding back? Can you be more specific about your dislikes......................................LMAO!!!!!
  4. There is not alot to those air cylinders. I pulled mine apart to clean the sludge out. Just a leather seal if I recall.
  5. Just by the picture I can tell it is not a P engine by the shape of the intake. Too bulky looking compared to mine which is a split design.
  6. If we were all 15 yrs old and 130# we would have NO problem getting everyone in the picture LOL!!!!
  7. FYI, semi trucks pulling 32 foot camping trailers don't fit behind Waffle House in Carlisle, just in case you think that it looks like they do. I've been in some places with my 40ftr that I shouldn't be. Got some bad directions once to a guys house and ended up having to back up through a neighborhood til I found a side street I could turn around onto. Ugh. Remember Leslie post the other day? Ya. It is impossible to tell that your trailer tire is shredded while driving a straight-piped Detroit riding on Rayco spring suspension on the Pa turnpike until someone tells you. Ditto that. Going to Indy years back I had a fellow yell on the radio that I was loosing one. I now remember to check the mirrors more often to check tires(though I do check lanes constantly I don't always look down at the tires). You really do need throttle return springs on the governor. With JT as my witness, I left the show with two, wound up on the turnpike with none. It's an amazing feeling to have the loud pedal fall out from under your boot. Thanks to Tim Hoover for the zipties. Yup, had that happen on the B. Luckly I was just in town when it happened. Fell to the floor and scared the beejesus out of me. I pulled the shutoff and rolled into a parking lot. Using some wire I had, I reattached the spring. Purchased a new spring and have been good for 10 yrs. Always put nice mirrors on your truck, mine suck something awful. Nothing worse then not being able to see behind you. More and BIGGER mirrors the better. Route 22 from Altoona to Indiana county is mostly uphill, seriously uphill. Remember my PA road thread? Ya, them little roads SUCK. Nice seats are important. Yes. Front drive axles that leak 90w create lots of cleaning work on your new trailer. I cracked an oil line once and didn't know it. I got to the race track to find the whole front and passenger side of my trailer DRIPPING in oil. UGH!!!! What a freak'n mess that was. Lucky the track owner had some line and was able to fix it easily. Cleaning was not so easy. Lots of simple green.
  8. The hard part is putting names to all the faces............. Of course the Feds will have no problem finding the bad guys LOL!!!
  9. The owner of the honest to goodness, real RD truck is Dan Bruno. His website shows the history of most of the trucks from the movie and how he came to rebuild the remaining movie truck. He also owned the Duel truck til selling it a few years back. He is a member here.
  10. Huh?? Plenty of room...............what's the problem?? LOL!!
  11. Damn...that's what ya call STEEP!!! How do they keep the asphalt from just falling down the hill???
  12. Glad to hear it was a great turnout. Onna these days I'll get there? Did anyone find Rob? I got an email saying he's going, but doesn't have a phone with him.
  13. Got an email from Rob. Seems he is going to be wandering around the show. His cell phone is in the bottom of his well, so he can't be reached. Keep an eye out........
  14. That DM looks like a Double U....... or."W".............since it hangs over on BOTH sides LOL!! Cool.
  15. Very cool. Glad to see Vlad and son made the journey safely. I'm sure they will have ALOT of great mammeries...memories of this trip.
  16. I always wondered why they couldn't make this stuff fit without running into each other? My passenger wing window had dented the cap on my air cleaner from previous owner(if you flip the wing fully it runs into the cap when you open the door). I've since fixed the dent and put a riser on the cap to get it above the door frame. The fact the door only opens half way is a real PITA for getting in(not that I have to) but others have a hard time with it.
  17. Just have to be sure it says USA!! Not just US? Being in the plastic industry, I know I've heard plenty of business starting to boom due to bring manufacturing back to the USA. Our business is growing leaps being in the repair business. Everyone wants to rebuild their stuff to get it back up to snuff.
  18. Ugh........I guess it coulda been worse? Looks like a pretty nice truck.
  19. Ben, that is my whole point. It just travels down the blood line. Not that it's a physical thing where they have bad genes or whatever. They learn by watching and following. Not that he was really obsese at 12 yrs old, but when his gut literally hangs over his shorts, that's bad for a young boy. He does play sports(football and baseball) and his father is a big guy(tall, beefy build, not per say fat), so hopefully he will grow into his body in a few years. Bad eating habits are easy to pick up and hard to break.
  20. My neighbor last year went to Sturgis, then Washington state, down the Left coast and back up around the lower 1/2 and back> Like 10K+ miles. My back hurt just listening to the stories LOL!!! I wanna ride farther(then an hour at a time), but my bones just don't allow it. 2007 Softail Custom.
  21. Small truck compared to that big bunk you used to drive. Kinda like drive a Geo metro compared to your last plastic fantastic. Sorry to hear it had to end, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with your new endeavor.
  22. Wow, great scenery. It looks like it's turning into quite a trip for you. 1000 miles in a car and 2000 miles by plane. Ya, I think you win the long distance award LOL!!! Hope you have a fun and safe trip. Sorry I won't make it to say Hi.
  23. Don't forget the road side apples!! (looks good Ken)
