  1. The L cab dump was sold/auctioned out of a firm in CA? Bunch of blue/white B's, can't recall the name, thought it was in WOT maybe a year ago? That B mixer chassis looks pretty decent,,,,,,,,,,,,but not $12K decent LOL!! Yowza. Would be really, really cool if it was a 4wd chassis!! Always wanted something like that. Go anywhere type vehicle.
  2. Glad to hear you are doing well. Gotta agree, pushing snow for fun isn't bad. I do my neighbors drives when I'm out doing mine. They come out and I tell them "I'm just out playing, don't mind me" LOL!
  3. If you look closely at the box of options where you type your post, there is an option "S". Apparently you might have drug your mouse over it and clicked it by mistake. It puts a line through your words. Only works in that one post. Its default is no line.
  4. Oh christ..............not again. I hate that freak'n road to begin with. The only saving grace is coming home, you loose the last toll booth so it's cheaper Westbound.
  5. Yup, the old bridge buildings had two guys, one with air hammer, the other with a buck and a couple guys throwing hot rivets around in cups. Slow, tiring work.
  6. I'll second, third, fifth that................holy mackeral, that's a nut/bolt...................er, rivet restoration. Just like putting a REAL BIG model together. That is going the extra mile to make it perfect. I'll say, if you could preheat the rivets like the old bridge building days, then slip it in and hammer it you would not have the heat issue with surrounding paint.
  7. Hmmm, love to have that 673T...............but kinda short on cash presently. At least for the truck. Seems the race car motor is eating all my profits LOL!!
  8. Yup, that's dan's firetruck.
  9. Sorry, long gone back in early 90's. Had a 400/13 spd. Tucker Equipment? Sounds like Brayden Tuckers place. NEO ATHS Chapter member, Mack Pack member. Drives a green MH to shows.
  10. Ditched my Dish Oct 2011. Haven't missed a payment yet LOL!! Yup, I watch Rifleman, Emergency, Perry Mason and the like. Yup, just 50 yr old reruns..........but at least I'm not paying for 2 yr old reruns? DOH!
  11. Friends last truck was an Eagle model. Always liked them.
  12. I've got a pair of NOS door shells, I think I'll just pack them away for another 10 yrs and see what they bring? Had them 11 yrs now.
  13. Glad I bought my shell from Barry about 10 yrs ago, when they were still "cheap"...........
  14. I'm on FB, not sure why, as I hardly ever even sign on, but if I get a real message on email. I don't think what I had for breakfast is important enough to share with EVERYONE? In the 3-4 yrs, I've made 2-3 posts myself. All else is something someone else linked a picture of me to. I'm thinking she should be showing a WIDE LOAD sign??
  15. Ya, most busses only had 8v's, so a 12v woulda really made that ol girl FLY!!! Some video to enjoy: http://youtu.be/oYcE5Xl6zmY
  16. I would say in the $5-6K range, depending on the condition of the cab.
  17. http://youtu.be/DXjx6h3aZco Francis Engineering: Address: 14233 Painesville Warren Road, Painesville, OH 44077 Phone:(440) 254-4046 Just down the road from my clutch guy.
  18. Yup, looking through googles images I found this:....note fly'n lady hood ornanament and the sargent stripes on the front of the fenders.
  19. Honey Boo Boo? Never seen it, heard about it. Don't have cable, so never will see it.
  20. "I picked a bad day to stop smoking" Sorry to hear about all this. Keep your head up, as Mike said, he only gives you what you can handle. It only makes you stronger.
  21. As long as no one sees you do it(like EPA or DOT). Just like was mentioned, they get real pissy about diesel being poured all over the ground(ie: mixed in with dirt/gravel/asphalt, etc)
  22. (4) So as to prevent the registration plate from swinging." Doh, I have my front plate on a hinge(like all the cool trucks used to). But I'm an Outlaw...............LOL! I put 33K plates on my truck originally(knew I would be over 26,001#), and it was like $375/yr? Way more then I wanted to spend. $50 got me historical. DMV was not too happy to do it, but I told them all my buddies have theirs. They reluctantly agreed, but told me "I better not be running commercial with it". Well duh. The one time I got questioned at the scale house, I was given the a-okay and sent on my way. NO log book asked for, only registration, insurance, and I showed my CDL just make sure they knew I knew I was okay. Now I avoid scalehouses if at all possible. Tim, as for getting a CDL, I took no classes. I got my booklet, then went in to take test for temporaries. I took all endorsements, even though didn't study for Hazmat and triples. Only missed those by ONE question each(had to get 16 of 20, I got 15). I then called test station(we have one that will rent you a truck/trailer) and took my test. Viola'. If you have any kind of experience driving, it's not that hard. I've drug a 40ft trailer around since 1997, so it was not hard.
  23. He's getting all the trips in now, as when he has to put plates and insurance on it................it will be too expensive to drive LOL!!!
  24. I remember most 70's fleet trucks coming with that cut off bumper. Guessing it kept from tearing up tires if they banged into something?
