  1. Ask and yee shall receive............ http://youtu.be/RF3MuStIm18
  2. Englishtown holds it yearly. Quakercity did it for a few years, but they didn't advertise it very well. Low truck counts, only lasted a couple years and never again.
  3. I had mine out in the rain yesterday also. Hauled my buddies Bobcat back to his property so he can use it too! I have free dibs, but that usually includes fixing what's broke so it's ready for him the next time he needs it LOL!! Sorry no pics, and no other Macks were seen.
  4. Yup. That threaded part, with the o-ring screws into the block. But I see you already have this fixed and truck running. Thought I would reply just in case someone searches this.
  5. Sonny Trapp, from over Jersey way handed me my hat. That barndoor runs mid 15's all day. It's awesome to watch. He puts it on the gov'nr and let's it fly. I have some video, but need to get it tranferred to computer. BTW, the ol dog only goes about 26's at 49 mph LOL!! He runs 15's at 80 mph!
  6. This is truck racing............back about 2004??
  7. That's the catch for buying stuff like that. Cheap, but need to have to have a shipping plan ahead of time to make it worth the while. I sold(ie:cheap) a bench seat out of my '67 F100 years back. The guy was from Okie, and I thought great what is this gunno take. Come to find out the guys dad lived just outside of Barberton!!! He picked it up at my work!! Talk about "EASY" button LOL!!! I've got Rob's number, but I know he goes AWOL sometimes.
  8. Holy crap Ken. That sucks. You could have the dealer strap it to a skid and truck freight it cheaper!! Pick it up at local terminal. We're talking $100-150 maybe? Get a quote in writing so when they try to screw you over you have something to show them. Just say, CYA. You do realize that is over Rob's way? Like 1/2 hour from Farmington, IL.
  9. Say what?? Massillon?? Come on..........after 46 yrs here I've never seen that B, ever. Guess it spent alot of time hiding in a garage. Good looking truck!!
  10. Well, maybe I'll get one and throw it in the truck for a rainy day(that is likely when I'll have to replace it anyway LOL). There was enough oily goop that the spring was not rusty at all. You never know though!
  11. Just grab that square plate and slip the element out of the block. It does down, so you will have to wiggle it around. There is an insert screwed into the block with a shoulder on it. There is a ring behind the shoulder that the element plate bolts to(with a rubber gasket). I had to remove mine completely when I installed the screw on filter housing. To remove the screw in bushing, I had to heat and chisel it out. What was left: New plug: No room behind new housing: BTW, I never really used the block heater. I'm one of the lucky ones, even at 18* temperature, I was able to get her to fire up WITHOUT ether or heater. Crank, wait, crank, wait..............Zoom it came to life. Guess I got a good one? But I do have 12v starter and GOOD batteries. It wings that lil motor over like nothing. I originally put FOUR 12v batteries in it, but a few years ago I finally had to replace them I just put two and it still starts very easily.
  12. I only see about 1/3 of my yearly income. The rest............gone before they even print the check. I'd consider myself pretty well off if I got even another 1/4 of that 1/3.......................................Umm, well, sorta.
  13. You all ain't right. But that video is pretty lame(Not the cleavage though). Remember SEX sells! I can remember back in college(ya, I went for a while), was in some kind of communication theory class. One of the jobs was to find an ad that said nothing about the product. No problem, dug out one of my car mags, picture of a hottie holding a pair of Hooker side pipes. Nothing else said. Teacher was impressed with my work LOL!! (lady teacher too).
  14. Would you be specific on YOUR location if you owned this????? Just think on how many "new" friends he would have on here?? Ringggggggggg. "Eh, Hi Marty, this is your (new found) friend __________(fill in your name). Um, I got this new toy and it's really heavy and I was wondering what you are doing this Saturday?? Busy eh? Well, how about next Tuesday evening around 6? Still busy? How about Thursday?"
  15. Welcome to the site!!! Love to see pics of the big dog. Compressor might be fine, maybe unloader is sticky?
  16. My boot was way too large, I cut it at the seam(where the factory assembled it) and shortened it up easily. Left about 1" overlap at the bottom and used some silcone to keep it closed up. Been through a couple good storms and dry as a bone. Started this big: Looked like this when done: You can see the overlap at the bottom. It tightened up more when I finished screwing it to the bunk. I have an extra boot that came with bunk. I would just buy one that was big enough and make it fit.
  17. I'm thinkin' Mark got hisself a real nice bunk warmer there.............................
  18. Yup, figured freight companies are going to be short hooded versions to get all the trailer they can. Probably concave cabs to boot. And likely no one wanted them!
  19. Congrats on making it home safely. Even with the free truck wash LOL!!
  20. I'm like that. Had the same State Farm for 24 yrs now. They know me, I'm not just a number on the screen. Sometimes it's worth a few extra bucks for that, so I've never really shopped around. Strange enough, had a roof guy stop by a month or so back after we had a little micro burst come through one evening(I lost the top of a tree is all). I told him I'm never that lucky to get anything paid for. Sure enough my roof was perfect(no storm damage), though it is at it's life end and I'm dread'n what it will cost to replace house/garage. My aluminum siding was perfect too(dammit). Two weeks ago, my neighbors house(rental) got a whole new roof(house and garage) and it was maybe only 10 yrs old? WTH?? It had those fancy shingles on it too, which I'm sure cost more. It looked fine, and I'm sure the property owner didn't just want to blow $10K for nothing.
  21. I've only been to the local Menards a couple times. It's way over the other side of town so it's not easy to get to and a waste of fuel. I like my Lowe's, hate Home depot(never find anything in that god forsaken place). I did stop in Menards back when I was going my stretch job and broke my big 3/4" drill. Menards only had cheapo no name junk. I ended up at Lowes and got my Dewalt, paid a few more bucks for it, but I like the Dewalt tools I have so I stick with them. I didn't want to wait days for something over the internet! Do like to browse Sears for a new tool ocassionally. Nothing big, but something I can spend pocket change on. I HATE the credit card hassle they throw at you every time you go to the cashier. NO, I don't want a card. Do you not accept cash anymore?? It's so bad the last time I stopped in to replace a couple missing sockets they wanted me to sign up to get $15 off my $10 purchase(basically get the sockets for free). Nope, didn't fall for it. Not cancelling the card next week, blah, blah, blah. I used to have a Sears card maybe 10 yrs ago. Even ended up with a second one somehow?? Cancelled them both. I just want to pay for my purchase and walk out. Ugh. "Now I could prolly spend a few hours and dollars at Northern Tool." I like their catalog and surf it constantly. Pretty big wish list, but likely never buy the big dollar items.
  22. Nope, always fly solo when working for the most part. Unless I need a specific set of hands to carry/hold something. Heck I did my whole stretch/bunk project all by myself. No extra hands at all(beside the bobcat to lift the bunk on). I do work at a fast pace. Just my nature. I like to just get it done. Having the right tools helps too. Using my "new" 3/4" impact, it only takes a few moments to get a wheel on straight. By hand/breaker bar it took alot longer.
  23. As I sit here nice and warm.... I hear the wind howling like a bee swarm. I think of driving my old Mack today.... but instead I just lay and dream away. (don't think I'll quit my day job) I did finally dig out the old handycam and charged the battery today. Have thoughts of making a three stick video before the snow hits? Don't hold your breath LOL!!
  24. I ditched my DN a year ago, but still have FOUR remotes for TV, digital convertor box, surround sound, and VCR. Like to get one of those MONSTER sized ones just so it's easier to find and won't get lost in the couch cushions LOL!!
