  1. Ken, I was looking at "newer" tractors about 6-7 yr agos to replace the POS riding "thing" I had. I coughed at the price of those plastic wannabees they make today. Some things are cool, but all the PITA safeties I don't want. Christ, you ever try to back up a new tractor. Got turn the key, push a button, turn off the deck, pat your head and rub your stomach. Good gawd!!! It would take days to mow my yard that that rate. My '72 14 hp hydro Cub runs like a champ, looks like it was well taken care in the beginning of it's life. I had a '66 10 hp growing up, so I know what I wanted again. I walked into a deal and couldn't say no.
  2. Just post a sideways picture and Ken woulda been ALL over it!!! Then someone mighta realized the dogs were wrong. Just think'n out loud............
  3. Replacing the floor in a B isn't too hard. I did mine about 12 yrs ago. It was only bad in the front corners(from leaking windshield), but I cut it all out and started fresh. JT, I agree, I liked mine, but I bought those little insert to knock the rap out of it. Made it a bit better anyway. I like the looks of them the best. Clean, straight.
  4. My parents were big Buick people, I just happen to lean towards Ford. My sister had 14 yrs at Ford before leaving for Italy. Mike, I'm really American, I ride a '72 Cub Cadet!!!! Love my Cubby.
  5. Dang Ken, that reminds me of the '86 700 Shadow I bought from a fellow about 6 yr ago. It had 10k miles? Black with gold eagle on the tank. It was spotless and completely unmolested. I paid $1300 for it.
  6. you bumped the scribe a line text that is an option in the posting box.
  7. From the movie "Christine"...... http://youtu.be/HUBiQTvTF68?t=36s
  8. Hard Krom pipes? Had a set very similar on my 1100 Shadow, before I sold up to my '07 Softail Custom. I like my Hondas, but hated the "sound". Even with pipes, they sound horrible. Got to love that HD rumble. I still have stock pipes, but gutted mufflers. Nice deep roar, not crackly noise like my Honda was. Got mine used off craigslist, so didn't get raped. Can't get me off it, that is until my back gets to hurting too much LOL! Saturday was spent in the garage, had a buddy's '87 Mustang over for some welding. Race car stuff. Went out to dinner Sat. night. Sunday I waited to see the rain was not coming, I then spent the morning installing a roof air unit on my race trailer. Should make it more bearable in hot or cold weather(it has heat grid in it also). Got the bike out for a short ride, came back home and washed up the hot rod and took g/f to DQ for ice cream. Our local Ford club meets there twice a month.
  9. Give me 40 acres and we'll turn this thing around............. Veryyy nice.
  10. Dover, PA or Dover OH??
  11. Sounds like my last trip to Beaver Springs, PA in the ol B model......... Thanks for posting the pics Tim.
  12. Ugh...a real Lil Red Express truck with a SBC?? Oh the humanity. Have friends that go to Charlotte for big Ford Mustang reunion every year. It has its fair share of other Ford there too. One guy shows up in a '69 Camaro with a 351W in it!! LOL!! They gave him 1/2 a trophy LMAO!!!
  13. Canton huh? And no call. Jeez.............................I tell ya. I was in Indiana midweek myself. Denver last week. Ya, I'm worldly like that LOL!!
  14. Have seen the tattoo issues. They are kinda rough at first, lots of peeling/scabs right after. Maybe not every time, but the few I've seen done. I give credit for great work, just not my cup of tea. To each their own.
  15. You need one, just at 13ft tall so that you can find your truck in the parking lot. Plus it will keep all the soot off the shiny clean trailer!
  16. Yup, when they are 21 and toned, it is "artistic" and all that. Give them 10 yrs and 3 kids later and that beautiful artwork will look like a 4 yr olds finger painting!!
  17. Ugh, nothing to ruin a pretty girl like a tattoo. Sorry, not my cup a tea. 5-10 years that will be a ugly smudge of color on her back.
  18. I'm trying to remember, but I think I just used a big screwdriver and pried it out. Nothing much to hurt that way. Or maybe a wood stick or brass punch and stick through the front hole and smack on inner race. That should force the seal out without hurting anything. On cars and light trucks, I usually leave just the spindle nut on and drag the hub over it sharply and that pops the seal off(along with the bearings leaving them undamaged). The big hubs on this might be kinda tough to do that way.
  19. An ol Mercury sleeper on there would be VERY fitting. Good looking truck!
  20. Unfortunately I am passenger on this trip or I would have let you know. No time for side trips.....sorry. No pics. Guess I will be the only one that knows it happened. Bummer for you guys LOL!
  21. On rt 6 in Indiana when a green Superliner comes around a bend coming towards me. I go "Wow....look at that!". As it goes by I realize it is Stan Leman and his E9 truck. Stan does alot of frame hauling for motorhomes, so it is realistic for him to be running around over here. No time for a picture, sorry.
  22. Hmmm,,,,,,, Double Stuf Oreos and a cold glass of milk. Breakfast, lunch and dinner of Champions!!!
  23. If they are nothing "special", then maybe I'll look at getting some 1/4" ID rubber tubing/vacuum line and cut my own? As long as the diesel doesn't eat it up, should be fine. If my local guy doesn't have them, surely he is not going to order "a couple" in for me. Not worth the time/effort.
  24. Ron, I was kinda hesitant about them, after looking at how small they were. Likely not big enough to fill the void of the fitting. It did snug down okay and doesn't leak. Would be nice to get the correct ones(if available).
