You need to get ahold of Stan walls(old member here), as he got roped into the parking lot business a few years ago. Ran the "ol Pig" for a year or so, then got himself a fancy Pete. He parked it all last year due to work. Sold everything off last spring and is working for son #1(if I recall correctly) in the shop. Sure he has lots of neat stories to tell(he always did).

Ya, just tried new website and it's out for the day. I agree Trent, they keep the forums on a very tight leash. But, I suppose the leaders want to make sure it has no ill effects on the ATHS. They want the ATHS to be a squeaky clean, familly oriented place and if you let one little hint of dirt pop up it will/could go a bad way. I do think they play "dad" a bit much sometimes, but it's their house so I'll follow the rules or go elsewhere. BUT, you have to think it is full of a bunch of ornery truckers and I'd say they do like to take some liberties sometimes. I know, truckers are all clean cut and follow directions well(NOT). Let's weigh that truck and see your logbook!! LOL!! Yes, BMT keeps itself under control pretty well, with a little help from the bosses. It will never become a "yellowbullet"(you know what I mean). But even here is not boasted as a "kid friendly" site so the line gets skewed sometimes and you have to take that into consideration when browsing the web with kids in the room(if you have any).

Just the other day, I was going across Rt 18 to Medina and came across a wrecker dragging a clapped out Fliner conventional. He was literally dragging it cause the FR wheel had fallen off somehow and it was running on the drum!!! I came up on him(he was coming at me), as he was just pulling back out onto the road to make a left and get into the big tire shop that just happen to be there. Don't think it was planned that way? Fliner was stripped to the gils and only couple tires left on it.

It has a new address now. My old link didn't work also. Someone here posted the new address on the previous ATHS post. I went on, looked around, read some of the hate mail posts that are going due to all this and left. I'll likely get on more once all the crap is over with. I've been through a couple of these "turnovers" for the forums. We always loose a few guys, but it still keeps going.

I did the generic pin rebuild years ago on my drivers door. Can't recall which "Help" kit from Azone I used? Measured the hole size and picked the next larger one to fit. I also re arched the horseshoe springs that hold the door open. Works pretty good now, as long as you are decent level ground. Much better then getting swapped in the side as the door used to come close as you stepped in the cab.

If you can come up with rims/tires at a fair price. If you have to get new..........Yowza, low grade 22.5's are about $350-400/each. I changed my truck over 10 yrs ago and it cost me $1800 for six recon rims and new Yokohoma's. Near double that now. I put a lot of highway miles, so I didn't want to run 25 yr old tube tires that were on the truck. If you just poke around town, I wouldn't sweat it.

Firemen starting fires reminds me of the movie "Backdraft". Glad you caught the guy. Rowdy wasn't so lucky with his gun weilding idiots!

I know mine would be in trouble if it had a duplex and pulling any kind of weight. The Triplex really does a good job of keeping my 673 in the powerband. With my 4.10 gears, single OD PLUS another OD in the brownie, I'm geared for like 85 mph!!! (maybe off a cliff with a tailwind). Don't think 180 hp is going to do it with 28K lbs.

Just caught a glimpse on the evening news. How the HELL do you crash into the jet dryer??? Why was he going that fast he lost control and rearended the jet dryer?? Is this another one like when people run into he back of a cop car on the side of the road?? Was he drawn to the flashing lights??? Inquiring minds...................

I've been on the ATHS site for 10 yrs, got to know many of the people from coast to coast. I've stayed out of the politics and been pretty happy. The typical Mack slams are a day to day thing and I don't let it bother me. I can sling mud with the best of them. Most of the common posters there are super nice people, though sometimes posts can come across wrong(typical for any forum). I had a bad run in with Aaron a few years ago(really pissed me off and I signed off. Had many, many people email me asking to come back), but have since met him in South Bend and have no issue with him now. He can come across pretty rough and once you know that you just learn to accept it and that you are on the internet and you need to put your big boy pants on. I used to go to the ATHS site more as this site has always been A LOT slower for me to get on and negotiate(even with a new computer and good connection). I would not have been able to do what I have(on my truck) without the assistance I have gotten from the people on here or ATHS. I know the NEO chapter has many members that have issues with HQ and I wonder if this will stir the pot more? I don't think many of them are on the computer. I'm going to ride it out and see what transpires.

That's the bad part, you can only "Fire" your gun in defense of your life. Any other use is a felony. Stupid crap, but it's the law. This is a typical scenario and needs to be addressed. After taking my CCW course I understand the fine line you have to walk when using a gun. The robber was not in "his" home, so that is one issue. He fired a weapon, that's another issue. The guy with the gun was outside and not in any immediate danger, that is an issue. It was for a good outcome, but you still have to follow the laws. Only on TV do you get to fire a warning shot. It sucks, and I hope he able to stay out of jail.

Grrr, I just bent my main box to make some room for the aux shifter I put in. Other then that it "WAS" original. You can see the warm marks where I made it straight instead of dog legged. The aux is original. Here is a bottom shot of what the main used to look like:

My tapered pins came out with a hammer. Took less effort then the pins in my '70 F100!!! (straight pins=heat an beat)

If you end up having two, keep me in mind also Rob.

I always drool at projects like that. Just done to a "T" and perfect. Wish I owned something like that, but I use my stuff too much and would never stay that nice.

The BBC version is awesome. Love the "hill start" when the put Jeremys drums behind his truck and he crushes them. Then the do the same with a Piano! Then the burning inferno as they race around road course!! Great stuff. Ya, the American version just doesn't have the knack of the british blokes.

Very cool picture. Glad you can spend "together" time with them. I can remember my first ride in a "big truck": I was 10 yrs old and I've been a junkie ever since. I remember those twin white pearl shift handles and the wig wag!

Not an expert, but I would suppose it all depends on the leveling valve settings. Either have to measure and make sure they are equal or put air gauge on them and see if both axles read the same.
