  1. Ok, here is some teaser shots of the crowd at Dennys place. In rain before lunch....... Then afternoon when the sun broke out... I'm sure Ken has alot better selection, I just snapped a few off quickly.
  2. Had a great time. Thanks to Denny and his wife for the warm hospitality. Cant wait for next year! Imagine the horror as all those trucks turned down a road with a sign stating "No Trucks Allowed"?
  3. Those couple trucks are Jerry Howard of southern Ohio. He's got a boat load of trucks, including that 350" wheelbase black Autocar that I'm sure you've seen in the Showtime. He also owns El Turbo.
  4. I got it marked down for next week. B model or not, I got plans to be there.
  5. Its just like the early anteaters...........buttugly. Whole hood or no hood.......but 1/2 hoods just dont do it for me.
  6. That just aint right.
  7. Very sorry to hear. My condolences to you and your family.
  8. I can still hear Mr. Whipple................"Please don't squeeze the Charmin"......................LMAO!!!
  9. LOL!!!!!!!! I was waiting for that part of the story. How Rob had to walk a mile to get help!
  10. Nice looking motor. Wish mine didn't have the color "grudge" all over it LOL! Get in contact with Phil and have him try to find another set up like I got. Mine didn't have the oil cooler either, as that makes a difference also. He found mine on an old R model with a 711 in it. If you do it, get the road draft tube that goes with that filter set up. I had to refab the mount on mine(down on the oil pan) to get it out of the way of the filters. No biggie, but I should have gotten the tube off the 711 and it likely would have made it fit correctly. My local place(Adelmans truck parts) couldn't help me as they didn't have any motors that they wanted to sell pieces from.
  11. Nice hangers..................ummmmm..............ah.....................well, ya that's what they are, right?
  12. I popped a head bolt on my 673............is that covered?? LOL!! Welcome to the crazy ward!
  13. I was always leery when starting mine up. I always sat and watched til the oil gauge moved before getting back out of the cab. Mine was a bypass system with three lines. I pulled it all off, compared engine block pictures with Phil and determined this would work fine. It has. Hadn't heard about your spun bearing. Never good news, hope you get it fixed up.
  14. The two line system just doesn't have a bypass in it. The bypass routes some oil back to the oil pan. I just put a spin on set up on my 673 with only great success. It builds oil pressure within seconds of starting instead of 20 seconds. I got my set up from Global truck traders, Phil took care of everything for me. He goes by "counterman" on here.
  15. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ LOL!! Yup, that's what I would say too.
  16. That looks like it's going to be short lived...............don't stand too close to it!!!!
  17. When I was looking for a spin on oil filter set up, Phil contacted me with a possibility. Within a few days we had it figured out. The parts were shipped pronto, I received them already cleaned up and ready to bolt on. Great to deal with.
  18. How thick are the gaskets when new?
  19. You can make up the black hose, as I did for my B model. Buy the ends and hose, presto chango you screw them together.
  20. Kent, ohio you are up in my area, sorta. You get up around Barber-tucky (Barberton) give me a jingle and I'll buy you lunch.
  21. Wow.......glad you were right there to help her. Lord knows what could have happened if the situation was different at the time. Another reason to put a big ol nanner on your bowl of cereal!
  22. I have a little get together at a buddies place saturday. It's only 5 minutes from my h.ouse to. Its supposed to be a cruise in so I'm taking a hot rod. Going to a open house in Cleveland for a train club on Sunday. Full scale stuff!
  23. Interesting. Looks like some other macks stickin' in the photo. A "B" on the left and maybe and "L" cab something on the right?
  24. Hey Bill!!! Glad to see a post from you. That was another truck that I loved the paint scheme on. Good to hear you have recovered, for as well as one can recover from being hit by a woman in a truck. In the last two years, I've gotten clobbered by two different women in minivans. Lost my pickup in the first one, second one was fixable. Both were oblivious to me/my truck. Take care and stop by more often. Do you keep tabs with John Evans? We all here sent him Birthday wishes some time back and he replied.
